Welcome to our LW Board!!   I love the smell of coffee but I just can drink it. They do sell Protein Powder that tastes like coffee.  I think one is called Click.

Major Mom (Gina) is our coffee guru on the LW board...so glad she responded!

Click is my absolute favorite.  I have 2 cans delivered monthly from Amazon.  They have the best price.  It also comes in decaf.  My preferred way to drink it is mixed with milk and ice and blended.  It good hot too.

This is the recipe for my breakfast coffee smoothie. Have not eaten it since VSG but drank it every morning for a long time with my band.

Brew 1 K-cup of coffee (regular or decaf) - if you don't have a k-cup machine just use 8oz brewed coffee.

Put brewed coffee in freezer while I go get dressed, it cools off quickly.

Blend the (now cooled) coffee with 8oz vanilla unsweetened almond milk, a few ice cubes, 1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder, and a handful or 2 of spinach.

I have a vitamix blender so it pulvarizes it! Looks green but tastes like a chocolate frappuccino. And... 170 calories (give or take, depending on your protein powder).

I have a K-cup and a Vitamix which I expect will get quite the workout in the coming months. Thank you everyone for your recipes. My PCP would be ecstatic if I gave up the caffeine (lumpy boobs, I know TMI) I've cut back drastically only one cup (ok, 12oz) in the morning. Sometimes in the morning it doesn't sit well in my tummy so I am prepared to give it up in honor of my new plumbing.

I went to brewed decaf before surgery and have stayed there.  It is really helpful because sometime I drive the truck and trailer home after a long weekend and get tired.  Just a shot of regular coffee in my decaf keeps me awake for the trip.

I stress that the instant stuff is nasty so you must still brew, however. DH still drinks the real stuff so I have my own little 5c coffee maker.

Then I mix 1 1/2 scoop of protein with about 1/2 to 3/4c of warm water.  I use that to "cream" my decaf.
