Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES  during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this:  I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!!  I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them occasionally while I'm having a flare up.   It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

Good Morning LW's!!!!  I only have a 4 day work week because we are heading to Columbus, OH on Friday for a weekend of cheer.  Older grandsons are staying home with Dad but we are taking the baby.  A whole weekend of grandbaby time...YEAH!

Maintenance:   6+ years out and started the new year right on target!!!

Roz, I envy you having a baby to love.  My youngest GD is 11 1/2.  I enjoy being with her.  She's so smart and beautiful and I'm not one bit prejudice.  However, there's just nothing as sweet as a baby.

My Saturday was a disaster foodwise.  Went to a potluck and took home baked cookies.  I really think I made them because I wanted them.  There was so much food and only half the cookies were eaten.  I ate way too many and by bedtime I wasn't feeling so good.  Yesterday was a banner day foodwise.  I made good choices and told DH to get the cookies out of my sight.  Today is shaping up very well.  I've written out my menu so I can refer to it if I'm tempted.

My sinuses are doing much better.  I think the antibiotic has really helped.  Yesterday was the first day with no headache or face pain.

B:  Click shake

S:  Corozonas bar

L:  Smothered Chicken; green beans

S:  Pepper jack cheese cubes & peanuts (something new at Walmart; also includes raisens but I'm not fond of them)

D:  Egg Salad on low carb wrap w/fresh spinach

S:  Hope to avoid but if I have to it will be a shake or almonds

We love our grandkids but you are right...there's nothing like holding a newborn (when they aren't crying....LOL)

We stopped at Subway over the weekend and of course I had to buy a plate of cookies for the grandsons but guess who took the rest home.... The worse part was they didn't even have my favorite oatmeal raisin and I still had to try them.

Sounds Good!

Hi Roz!

I'm still in VA so no baby time for me... :(  I haven't seen her since March 4th.  I do get the occasional text picture but it's not the same.

I was able to suppress the urge to eat out yesterday as I reminded myself I have a fridge full of food and it needs to get eaten before it goes bad.  But - I did stop at the grocery store and picked up an already cooked roasted chicken - can't go wrong there!  I also picked up some proscuitto/mozzarella cheese roll - yummy and very low carb (for snacks)

Today:

B - 1 coffee and 1 protein coffee

L - BLT on wheat.  1 slice of the proscuitto/mozzarella cheese roll

D - chicken and mashed cauliflower.

Vits:  yes

Water:  working on it!

I love our local grocers roasted chicken.  Such a fast good meal and there is usually leftovers for my lunch.  Was that cheese roll in the deli or packaged in the cheese dept?

One more might help but Sounds Good!
