Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES  during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this:  I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!!  I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them occasionally while I'm having a flare up.   It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

Good Morning LW's!!!!
I got up early and ready for the day!!  I was taking a quiz on AOL on Protein this morning and this answer caught my eye:   Our bodies don't store proteins the way they store carbs and fats. That's why you need a steady supply of protein every day.   In order to be successful after WLS Protein HAS to be your food/drink of choice!!  If you are like me you have trouble eating a lot of food so that's where "GOOD WHEY" Protein Drinks come in.

Maintenance:   6+ years out and started the new year right on target!!!

Breakfast:    Scrambled Egg, Eggbeater Whites, and piece of bacon

Lunch:     Grilled Shrimp

Snack:     80 Calorie Lite n fit Cherry Greek Yogurt

Snack:

Dinner:    Roast

Snack:     Nature Valley Almond Crunch Bar--YUM!!  (only buy Gluten Free)

Snack:      3 TB. of Popcorn

Great driving clinic with Teke and it looks like spring has finally come.  Spent the night with a friend to be closer to the clinic so breakfast was up to her, not me.

protein coffee,  33g
banana bread
steak, pear
protein bar  10g
lemon tea protein  13g
fish, salad
protein shake  33g

May end up with another lemon tea.  Short on protein and fluid after being in the carriage all day.

We were in the low 60's today but it's suppose to get cold again tomorrow.  The wind was blowing so hard it didn't feel like 60's though.

Hope you had fun!!

It makes me so happy to be reading your menus!!!

I'm glad I found that quiz this morning. It really worries me that posters are looking at my menu and thinking they aren't important.  I really have to watch what I eat without my Protein Drinks.  They make life so much easier.

Sounds Great!

I totally agree about the protein drinks , I don't see how it would even be possible to get my numbers up where I want w/out them.

B- Protein Coffee w/ SF almond milk (35 G P)

L- 1 oz smoked salmon

Bev -throughout day (Lemon Tea 35 G P)

S- 1 oz Beef filet

D- 1 mint cookie shake (35 G P)

S- 1 oz greek vanilla Yogurt w/ drizzle SF salted caramel syrup

Vits/Water Yes

Miles:  This is a big one for me, I walked 4 miles with my four year old and a dog in tow.  I think juggling those two used up significantly more energy than the walk itself, but for a first time exercising since the WLS, I was pretty proud of my self.
