Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES  during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this:  I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!!  I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them occasionally while I'm having a flare up.   It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

Hi LW's!!!!  I'm super excited about ALL of the New Posters!!!!

SO glad to hear your Mom is doing good - that definitely helps reduce your stress.  I hope she's happy there.

I'm going to answer your other question here - yes I have 2 dresses I found, but still want to keep looking as I'm not 100% sold on either of them.  I've got 2 months and still want to drop some weight.  It doesn't seem to want to cooperate, but of course that's my fault...

Today:

b1.  coffee x 2

b2. (late)  2 pieces of bacon and 1 egg with a piece of wheat toast

L - nothing

S - a protein drink

D - not sure.  I have some precooked thawed chicken I could do something with, leftover chimichanga meat...

Vits:  not yet but will

Water:  doing good.

You know how to do this Jody!!  Up your Protein and go low carb as much as you can. Not eating isn't an option though. If this is a typical menu then I'd said you aren't eating enough.  I can't wait to see wedding pictures!!!

I bought 3 dresses for my last DD's wedding and after getting everyone's opinion ended up with the cheapest one and returned the other two.  Not only was it the cheapest of the previous 3 Mother of the Bride dresses I had bought but I felt so good  in it.  The other 3 were like tents to cover me up but only made me look bigger.

Oh believe me - I eat plenty!  I forgot to put down the nuts I snacked on....

Yea I figure I'll probably find yet others and see which one I like best.  My son (when I was in Houston) helped me pick out a couple.  There is one that is a very deep green that he really liked the color of, but it doesn't fit the best and not as flattering as the other.  But - I bought it anyway and figured I can always take it back.  I'm thinking of heading back to a Macy's here in VA and seeing what they have on their clearance racks.

I ordered all of mine on line from Macy's.  My DD's wedding was black/white so I didn't have to many to choose from.  There weren't that many black dresses in August.

I'm glad to hear you are eating!  I don't worried about nuts.  They are just Protein to me.  I have one of my nut bars every day.

That's great your mom is doing well.  What a relief for you.  So far today my eating has improved over the last few days.  Just can't wait for this job to be over.  It is so boring and when I'm bored I think I need to eat.  I brought some quilting books to look at today.  Most of the time there is nothing for me to do except let people in and out of the office.  I keep reminding myself I'm getting paid to sit here all day but it makes for a long day.  I'm supposed to be here until the end of April, but I'm thinking I might leave the end of March.  I plan to take at least a month off and enjoy retirement.

B:  Click shake

S:  Nature Valley bar

L:  Mexican fajita bowl with steak - ate lunch out today.  This was really good except the salsa was way too spicy.

S:  ??

D:  Tomato Soup; cheese

S:  Chobani yogurt stick

Are you a quilter?  My Mom made quilts.  I made sure I got a new one a few years ago when she was giving some away.  The one on my bed was a wedding present 40 years ago and it's getting worn out but I still use it every single night.

Did you buy the Nature Valley bar I eat?  It's the only one I've found that is all nuts without a lot of sweet fillers.

I can't do Mexican or Barbecue since WLS.  It's makes my stomach upset.

Glad to see you got at least one Protein drink in.

Yes, I'm a quilter.  I donate many of them.  Right now I'm working on one for Literacy Kansas City for their fundraiser.  I usually give 2 quilts to organizations for fundraisers.  Many of the quilts I make are for children.  I am going to start one this fall for our bed.  I've never made one that large before.

I'm still looking for the Nature Valley bars you eat.  The NV I have is really tasty but really too high in carbs.

My shakes had no taste right after surgery.
