Yay it's the weekend!  I have a lot planned this weekend and almost all of it fun!

B:  2 coffee w/ 1/2 & 1/2 (3 g)

S:  Protein Shake (30 g)

L:  Greek Yogurt w/1 Tbsp Hemp Hearts (15 g)

S:  Protein Shake (30 g)

D:  We might be going out to the Keg, if we do I'm going to order the Scallops & Bacon (19 g) & Shrimp ****tail (26 g) but I don't think I can eat all of either of them so it will probably be half of that I'll share with my DH.

Which should equal a total of 100 g today!

Price I need to find out about this lemon tea protein you and Navychic are drinking?

It's Syntrax lemon tea.  You can order samples from Syntrax or Vita Lady.

Good for you getting your protein up.

So glad your mom has adapted well to the nursing home.  My mother did too and it was such a blessing.

I never got lunch but ate sausage while I was making the soup for supper, lol.

Don't eat the popcorn at the movie, it is sooooo good/bad.

First time posting on the menus post :) So hopefully I don't do too much info ;) I am still struggling with getting in my water and protein but am working on it! It's crazy because prior to surgery I LOVED sweets but now I am getting so tired of sweet things and I think that is making it harder to get my shakes in.

How many carbs is a good amount at this time? I am 2.2 weeks post op..

B: Kroger non fat sour cream 1/2 tbs

Wendy's chili 1.5 tbs- 4g

Kroger thin slice deli cheese .25 slice - 1g

L: Nothing. My Nona(gma) had surgery so was visiting her

S: Reese's Protein Shake- 32g

D: haven't ate yet but plan on

1 or 2 tbsp of boiled chicken- 7g

2 tbsp picante

1/2 slice of kroger deli cheese- 1g

1-2 tsp of non fat sour cream

This would bring my protein total to 45 grams for the day. I know I am lacking 35g but I think this is actually the most I have gotten since surgery. I may add a snack later if need be. My calories are 370.

Oh wow.  It's been 4 years since I have measured stuff my the 1/4 cup or tablespoons, lol.  I know some Drs aren't big on protein suppliments but it will really help you to get your fluid in and your protein in if you add a few.  I would also try to eat more often.  We were at 6-8 meals a day, 1/4c each at your stage and were still on pureed.  Every plan is different but do work on getting your protein level up.  It will help you lose fat instead of muscle and keep your hair.

Haha. I know, most of y'all are a lot further out. I forgot to put on there that everything was pureed, too. I will be on pureed for 2 months. Thank you for the tips. Today was a busy day, so hopefully I can have more of a scheduled meal time. It is still so weird not feeling hungry so it is easy to forget. I was told I should be able to eat 2-4 tbsp. But am finding about 1.5 tbsp does it for me.

I want to try and get some protein shots they have either 26g or 40 g so I know that will help. I am supposed to be getting in 80 grams a day. Yes, I do not want to lose my hair. It had already thinned dramatically after having my kids so I am hoping to combat it.

I couldn't do the protein shots, just thought they were nasty!!! I also can't do ready to drink stuff.  I really love Syntrax protein.  O carbs and 100 calories for 23g for most of them.  If you can tolerate it, greek yogurt is packed with protein and already "pureed",  I stirred in vanilla protein for an extra boost and it adds up quick even when you are just eating tiny amounts.

Isn't the no hunger wonderful!!!  Enjoy it because it doesn't last forever, lol!!!

That is what I am worried about! I bought some of the gel protein things and they were just horrible and tasted/looked like glue! Thank goodness I only wasted $2. I really want to try some of the Syntrax products so I need to either order them or go to the store and get them. We have a store that sales them about 25 miles from where I live.

I did buy some greek yogurt but haven't tried it yet. Pre surgery I hated the texture of yogurt but am willing to give it a shot! I also cannot do the ready to drink. I bought some premier chocolate the other day and it was just too much. It tasted like it almost needed more  milk in it to balance the taste out. After a while of sipping I am noticing that all protein shakes make me feel yucky.
