I have officially hit ONEderland! I had my doctor appointment this morning and their scale said 198! (Though my scale said 196 ) Anyways my doctor said it seems like I was doing great and told me to keep up the good work. I have been released to start pureed foods. He wants me on that for 2 months though. Which wow seems crazy long. But I am just so excited that I don't care lol. I don't go bac****il 2 months from now too.

He also told me that I was cleared for everything else not food related. So basically he said I could start strength training with no restrictions... This actually surprised me, I figured I wouldn't be cleared for weights for a few more weeks... I don't want to pull anything but he said I was all cleared.

Anyways I was super excited and wanted to share. I also had some scrambled eggs with milk and cheese earlier and feel great. I of course ate less that 2tbsp but stopped when I felt restriction like I was told. Let me tell you it felt amazing to be able to have some real food after a month of nothing but liquids. I think I've went on long enough! Sorry for rambling!!

Congrats on a good appointment and hitting onederland!  Did you take a picture of your scale?  I still look at mine in awe occasionally .  It's just a little reminder of where I've come from.

2 months does seem like a really long time.  I had the RNY so maybe the VSG is different.  I had my WLS Oct. 15th and was allowed real food the week of Thanksgiving.

No, but that is a GREAT idea! Maybe I will do that in the morning!

I also thought it seemed really long. I thought it was supposed to be 6 weeks but apparently longer. I am thinking maybe he does it that long and then skips the soft food part and goes onto normal? I have no idea. Guess I will find out.  Then come to find out the woman up front actually scheduled me to where it comes out to 10 weeks instead of 8 :( He said I can't move on until I see him. She said she did that because it puts me close to my 3 month post op

Congratulations!!  That is a long time on pureed, but if that's what the dr. ordered.. :)  Just remember to try to make all your meals high in protein and low in carb... and you can put almost anything in a blender and puree it!  I have seen so many people just eat a lot of mashed potatoes on the pureed diet and that isn't the way you want to go.  Ground beef with some taco season will puree as well as turkey salad! :)

I LOVE the picture idea!!!!  I stood on the scale this morning at 200.6, and I thought..."This is the last time I'm going to see that 2.  Forever."  And I honestly almost cried.  It's a huge deal.  So excited for you, Jenna!  And thanks for the pic tip, Roz!  :)
