Wish I was feeling as perky as Care_Bear.  I felt better thru the weekend after the sinus surgery than I do today.  Today, I have a really bad sinus headache, lots of swelling so can't breathe thru my nose very well and nothing tastes good.  My ice water I usually love tastes weird.  I came into work but thinking about leaving early.  I'm definitely sleep deprived.  Can't sleep lying down so I try to sleep in the recliner.

After my disappointing weigh in at the hospital, I bought new scales and unfortunately, the hospital scale was closer than I wanted it to be.  I just can't dwell on it though.  Just need to stick with healthy eating, plan ahead and get some exercise.  My whole life I always thought of snacks as something sweet or popcorn.  I'm trying to change that so today I had Cottage Cheese Salad for morning snack and have Baby Bells for afternoon snack.  I do love popcorn and have Skinny Pop.  Guess that's not too bad, but I'm going to try to avoid the popcorn for awhile.

Today's eats:

B: Click w/almond milk

S: Cottage Cheese Salad

L: Meatballs; green beans

S: Baby Bels

D: Pork Chop; cooked carrots

S: Chobani Kids' yogurt stick frozen

Hey JB, I just wanted to say I can't imagine what you're going through!  I had Sinus Surgery (with nothing else going on about 8 years ago) and I have to say it was one of the hardest things!  Not being able to bend over or lift and when I'd get into a deep sleep I felt like I was being smothered!  So I just want to say CONGRATULATIONS on what you're doing!  It must be very difficult - btw, I've learned the scale makes me sad :( so I had my hubby hide it from me a week or so ago - I'm way happier because of it!  I know I'm losing because someone (I think it was you) gave me the advice to take my measurements and I have lost inches!  So thank you for your support and I'm sending you some of mine! :) Carol

I'm not very perky... I'm struggling to not fall into old habits.  My grandmother is not doing well at all.  I live about 14 hours from her and it I am not able to just take leave from work anytime... My leave is low because I used it all to have surgery.  Anyway, I saw her at Christmas, which was wonderful!! But I may try and go home this weekend and see her again (if it isn't to late) :(

So, all these emotions plus the snow and ice we are getting (IN TEXAS!) :) are making me want to reach out to carbs... I would LOVE a nice bowl of my homemade potato soup.  My son would love for me to make it too ;)

So, I am staying strong and I am looking for alternatives to switch up my diet.  I have found a recipe on Pintrest to make some pizza that has crust made out of eggs, cream cheese and parmesan cheese.  I think I am going to try and make this for dinner tonight.  I will have to input the ingredients on fatsecret.com to find out exactly what the nutritional value is, but it will be low carb and high protein! :)

Syntrax Grape & Grape Crystal Light mixed with 64 oz of water to drink on today (0 carbs, 24 protein)

Breakfast: Hard boiled Egg, Colby Jack Cheese (.56 carbs, 11.62 protein)

Lunch: 3 oz deli turkey, Colby Jack Cheese, Blackened Ranch Sauce (7 carbs, 23.5 protein)

Snack: Hard Boiled Egg (.56 carbs, 6.29 protein)

Dinner:  Low carb Pizza from pintrest (???)

Vitamins: Check

Water: On Track

Exercise: ?? Not in the mood, I may get a manicure instead... :/  Not the right attitude, I know...

Daily Totals (Excluding Dinner): 8.12 carbs, 65.41 Protein, 589 Calories, 36.36 fat

2 hour school delays because of ice. Then I got to school and two tiles had fallen out of the ceiling in my classroom and ruined a ton of my files and paperwork. Ugh. But I did a half hour of cardio this morning.

B-protein shake with banana and ice

L-3 ounces of salmon and a bit of cooked broccoli

S-4 ounces of shrimp and ****tail sauce, small salad

D-chicken and green beans

S-3 Tbl. popcorn

Weird day here, went to day care and they were still closed and will be until next thurs (almost 2  week total) due to the heater going out.  My boss was ok about it, but I don't have the leave to burn due to the recent surgery.  what a pain, only upside is the said they will pro-rate the days they have been closed.

Pre-B=protein coffee w/almond milk (24 g P)

B- part of Chick-fil a chicken breast w/breading scraped off (no grill yet since breakfast, but about 3 oz)

Nap- got to take one since my son was staying home with me, what a splurge!

L- 2 oz smoked salmon

S- couple TBSP cottage cheese

D- 2 oz tuna sashimi (the last of it ;-()

After dinner Mint cookie shake w/ almond milk(24 g P)

really working my water today,  my lips are starting to crack painfully and I know that means dehydration.  Its weird I'm drinking so much more than I did pre WLS.  Its just so hard to get in everything...

Isn't that Ironic, Im eating/drinking so much more than I ever did before... well maybe not size of the meals but definetly number.  I guess that makes sense, all of the food I have throughout a day adds up in size to less than one big mac value meal, of which I definnetly partook of in a previous life...
