Miracle Box
So I'd given up on losing weight about a year ago. Id never heard of WLS, not as a real thing, one of my friends had it about 5 yrs back but I didn't understand the details. Anyways I donated massive amts of my clothes in the smaller sizes. It was a mental acceptance thing for me. Then in passing about 4 mths ago, one of my coworkers mentioned her journey, and I asked a ton of questions, and now, here I am, whoo hoo 3 weeks out and I can't wait for the rest of the ride!
But the miracle Box was this cardboard carton I'd somehow forgotten to donate with the other boxes/bags with 6 prs of jeans in my current size (a little snug still, but way better than the falling off old ones) and lots of other smaller items, shorts T-shirts etc. So at least I have a starting point, although I can't say I'll be sad when these no longer fit!
I had donated all of my smaller clothes along the way also. It amazes me when I read about folks shopping in their own closet!! What fun. Anyway, I would have had to go naked which would not have been a pretty picture if it weren't for thrift stores. And after a few years of buying no NEW clothes, I really get sticker shock when I look at regular prices. Luckily we have a Dillards outlet here and everything is 65% off, then on special weekends, it is 40% off the 65%. Those are my only new clothes buys still. I love a good deal.
Wear everything you really like a lot because you will be too small for them soon!!!

LOL, I guess that is one regret I will be happy to live with!
I do have this one dress that is a sexy black full length strappy thing that fit me for about 30 days (I made Chief in the Navy and as is the normal for all new selects, they ran us for 5 miles a day for a mth while I was in Iraq and the ambient temp was 125-135 dg) anyways when got home I was at my lowest point ever and the hubby took me on a cruise. Its the one small clothing thing I kept, lol, kinda like I plan to keep that one pair of huge pants. That will be my big NSV, if I can fit into my cruise dress...
I have a closet full of clothing that if I get back into and they fit good I will be happy. I went crazy buying clothing from 2011-2013 after I had reached my WW goal. but the year 2014 I gained about 80 lbs back and cant wear anything. I had already gotten rid of all my big clothes and had to buy more...I have bought sparingly the big stuff and will be so glad to say good by to it again. Can't wait to be back in my new old stuff. I am sure I will still buy me some new things down the road...they always make you feel good when you can fit in and look nice in smaller clothing. When I gained weight back I hated shopping for clothes..but when your smaller you love it.!!
