Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them occasionally while I'm having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Morning LW's!!!! On our way to the hospital!! DD#3 goes up for her C-Section at 6:09am. We are soooo excited to meet baby Kingston!!

Congratulations! How wonderful that your children and grandchildren have such a healthy grandmother.
Happy to report I did another 30 minute cardio session this a.m.
B-terrible start-haven't had time for anything but coffee with ff half and half again and it is already 10:30. Eventually I will have some crustless broccoli/turkey sausage quiche.

S-4 medium ****tail shrimp and ****tail sauce
D-Taco meat on salad
S-protein shake and 3 Tbl. popcorn
Still not feeling up to par after the sinus surgery. I left work at 2:00 yesterday and went home and rested all evening. I made Broccoli Cheese Soup from a low carb recipe and it was awful. Looked like pond scum and probably didn't taste much better. My tastebuds are just not working. I guess all that work on the sinuses disturbed them. Absolutely nothing tastes good but I get hungry. Hubby offered me some of his chocolate covered almonds and they were really tasty, but I can't eat those. Even my Click shake has no taste. Still can't sleep lying down. Another night in the recliner.
B: Click shake
S: Kind bar maybe
L: Swiss cheese; cottage cheese salad
S: ??
D: Pork chop.....my son is fixing dinner. Intended to fix pork chops the last 3 nights but didn't feel like it.

Sorry the surgery didn't fix the problem but made it worse. Hopefully when the swelling goes away, you will find some relief.

Good Morning and Congratulations Roz!
B: 1 coffee w/ 1/2 & 1/2 (1.5 g)
S: Protein Shake (30 g)
L: Protein Smoothie (25 g)
S: Greek Yogurt (12 g) & V-8 (3 g)
S: 2 Eggs, lite cheese & onion (14 g)
S: Unjury Chicken Soup Flavoured Drink (21g)
=106.5g Protein I have a question for all you LW's is there a point where you're having too much protein? I was thinking of adding an unflavoured protein pack to a crystal light drink mix today (first time trying it). My dietician is saying I should be adding more "good carbs" into my diet but I'm worried about doing that. I'm also worried because my NUT in PVR said no to solid food until 8 weeks out and since I'm sure she has more experience than my dietician I'm listening to her. Thanks!
I know I have RNY and you have a sleeve but I routinely get 120-150g of protein a day and by labs are great. I do eat "good carbs", lettuce, cabbage, brocalli, green beans but very stongly limit dried beans, fruit, bread (even whole grain), etc. esp during the losing phase. They usually want folks to add fruit and whole grains and I think that is dangerous.
