I am at a plateau. I am averaging 1000 cal a day. Getting my protein in and water. I am also working out 3-5 times a week. I need some guidance. I am 1 year out and am nowhere near goal. All advice is welcome

Are you watching your carbs?  Carbs are so tasty but they aren't our friend.  Keeping carbs low is what helps me the most.  Maybe your body just needs to adjust.  Take your measurements.  You might be losing inches instead of pounds.

Hang in there.  You will  get there.

I have been watching my carbs. I haven't measured in a while. Thanks for the insight!

Even little bites of carbs can slow you down. If you eat fruit it has a lot of sugar and so does some vegetables.  It depends on what kind of Protein you are eating/drinking too.  Try increasing your "good" protein (whey protein) for 3 days and then drop back down.  That might kick start you.

I found I could eat the same number of calories but with low carbs, like 30 or less net carbs, and still lose.  I did slow way down after about 6 months but kept losing as long as I kept my protein around 120-150g and carbs around 30 net.

Post with us on Miles and Menus and get some help there also.

Some days I only get in 60g of protein. My dr. says 60-90. I don't think that I am getting enough protein. I am watching my carbs. most of my carbs come from veggies. I don't eat pasta at all, small portions of whole grain bread.

I will check out miles and menus!

Thanks

I can't keep my protein level up without 120-150g of protein.  I did have RNY, not a sleeve, but I am 4 yrs out and still need that much protein.

Are you tracking your intake?  I used the tracker on this site but there are lots.  Those carb can creep up on you quickly.  We never tracked calories, just protein and fluid but from using the tracker, I figured out that the carbs meant more to my losing than the calories did.

whole grain breD is a carb and not really anything healthy about it. Carbs are carbs, your body has to hold water to break down carbs, even those found in veggies.

Carbs are not our friend.
