Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES  during the Honeymoon Period.

Afternoon LW's!!!

DD is suppose to have our new Grandson next Thursday the 5th.  She had trouble with her first 3 pregnancies. She has 2 beautiful healthy sons and lost a third son at 4 months.   The cord was wrapped around all of their necks.  Yesterday she went to the hospital because he (Kingston) hadn't moved the night before or yesterday.  They monitored him and just kept giving her orange juice and having her roll back/forth and even though his heartbeat was strong he just wouldn't move.  They did a sonar that took almost an hour and he never moved once.  The cord was by his neck but since he didn't move they weren't sure if it was wrapped.  3 long hours later the stinker started moving so an hour later she got to go home.  Now she has to keep track how long it takes for him to move 10 times and then go back in at the end of the week and the beginning of the next to be monitored again.  I love our 9 grandchildren  but I'm really glad this is going to be the last pregnancy I have to watch my girls go through.

Are you posting on a Menu site which calculates your Protein, Carbs etc.

Sounds like good choices! I'd really like to see at least one Good Whey Protein drink though....

Hi Roz.  That has to be SO stressful to think about cords wrapped around necks.  Nicole has platelet problems and has to be constantly monitored for them.  Luckily this pregnancy she hasn't had as big of an issue, but has been proactive with it knowing it can be a problem.

As far as your Mom and clothes at the nursing home.  When my Dad was in one they didn't keep good track of who clothes were who's.  My Mom would show up and he'd have someone else's shirt on, etc.  After he passed she went up to get his things and the majority of the clothes they gave her weren't his.  So - be careful of that - they must just dump all the clothes together in the washer without paying attention to whose they are...

For some reason I'm cold today.  It's 71 in my house but I'm still chilled.  I have to have the ceiling fan on low to keep the warm air off the ceiling and it makes a draft where I sit for work.

Today:

B - coffee and a protein coffee

B2 - 5 pieces of bacon

S - protein hot chocolate (trying to get warm!).

S - *ack*!  I got into the girls' veggie straws..... My pouch was feeling empty.  I should have just eaten the wrap then....

L - other 1/2 of my chicken/veggie spinach wrap (about 3:30)

D - not sure.  I'll be eating lunch pretty late.

Vits:  yep

Water:  doing good

Vits:  yes

I'm glad your DD hasn't had any problems during this pregnancy!!  DD#3 is cleaning like crazy today.  I told her I've always said that is a sign you are about to deliver.  She didn't have much humor today....lol.

I love veggie straws but they sure don't fill you up!  I had to quit buying them.

Sounds Like an Awesome day for you!!!

Roz, sorry to hear about your daughter and her problem pregnancy.  Just the thought of a cord around the baby's neck makes me cringe.

I have a little stress going on so I'm wanting something sweet to eat.  So far I've not given in.  I've been doing so well, no need to jinx it.  My son lost his job a year ago and has been searching for a job ever since.  He has worked for temp services and they can keep him pretty busy, but he wants a permanent job.  He found one and started a week ago yesterday, loved it and the employees told him how well he fit in and how quickly he was catching on to things.  Today, the owner called him and said he had a former employees that wants to come back, so since Greg is the last one hired, he was letting him go.  He did agree to pay Greg for the rest of the week.  What a dirty, rotten thing to do.  Greg had 2 other options when he took this job, but this was the best of the 3.  I know cookies from the vending machine won't fix and they're way too expensive, so I'll fix me a cup of tea.

B: Click shake

S: Protein bar

L: Cheeseburger Pie, Greek yogurt

S: Famous Amos cookies......NO; Pepperjack Cheese stick

D: Fish; Salad

S: Hummus; Quest chips

That was pretty rotten!!  I was promised a job at a Dentist Office and then he called and said someone from his church needed one so he felt obligated to give it to her.  I was so upset and discouraged but it would have been worse to have it, love it, and then have it taken away.

Sounds Good!

Here's to a healthy baby, very soon!!!

We woke up to about 4-5" of snow.  Right after all the ice was gone.  And the forecast for tomorrow night is another 4-12".  Really!!!! Yuck.  At least they cancelled my meeting tomorrow before I drove almost 5 hours to get there.  I'll try to get a bunch done seeing folks tomorrow before this next round comes.

decaf protein coffee  33g
oatmeal, protein 1/2 scoop
lemon tea protein  13g
bean/ham/sausage soup w/ cheese, cornbread
lemon tea protein  13g
pepperoni, cheese stick nuked
pork chop, cooked apples
protein shake or hot chocolate  33g

Roz, I have been using a half scoop of protein in the drinks in the middle of the day.  20 oz water, crystal light and 1/2 scoop protein.  I am still getting around 150 g of protein a day so I really don't need the whole scoop.
