Morning LWS!!!  It's the beginning of a new week and the last week of February...winter HAS to be over soon!!!  It was 1 degree here with a wind chill of -6.

I got word this morning that my Mom was approved to go into a Nursing Home.  It breaks my heart but I know it has to be done.  I went yesterday and bought her new clothes, bras, underware etc.  She was very excited when she was trying them on.  I didn't have a clue what size bra to buy so I bought several and the first one fit perfect.  She didn't want to take it off....lol.  I think it's been years since she's had a new one.

HI Roz.  Was -9 this morning - but at least it's sunny!  Northern MI has been hit HARD with these bitter cold temps with temps -30 WITHOUT wind chill.  Brrrr... My heating bill is going to be horrendous...

Nicole STILL hasn't had that baby yet (well she isn't due until the 27th but she has gone early with the other 2).  I'm hoping it's sooner rather than later as I have to go back to VA the first week of VA to catch a flight to TX for my son's fiance's bridal shower.

Today:

B - coffee and a protein coffee

L - leftover 1/2 chicken spinach wrap or beef tips w/sauteed onions

S - protein diet hot chocolate

D - what I don't eat for lunch unless I get a better offer from Nicole

Vits:  yep

Water:  working on it.

Ours was -1 and -6.  I can't even imagine -30 WOW! My DH works for the gas company and he hears all of the grumblings from customers.  He said they act like he personally made it cold so their gas bill is higher...LOL.

Hopefully you get a new little one this week!!  Our's is coming on March 5th unless she goes into labor earlier.

Mom's nurse just  called and said my mom was approved to go into a nursing home and I told them I can't do it the end of next week so I hope they can work around that.

Sounds Good!

It's cold in KC but the snow from last Thursday is gone.  Saturday morning was a little icy but that's gone too.  I'm sure we will get a snow dump before spring, but so far we've only had a little bit.

Roz, is your mother agreeable to going to a nursing home?  That was sweet of you to buy her some new undies.

I did work on a quilt, but it's one of those things that if anything can go wrong it will.  First, I ran out of one of the fabrics I needed so I found another piece, not really happy with the color.  I got one little block turned the wrong way and didn't notice until I had the border on so had to rip it apart.  I'm determined to fini**** but I'll make a different one for the charity event.  I'll hang this one somewhere in my house.

Eating was good all weekend.  I made an Impossible Cheesecake using Atkins Baking Mix.  I've had this stuff since 2008 so it may have lost it's taste.  As soon as I dumped in 1/4 cup I remember their products having soy.  The recipe called for Bisquick but since I'm being faithful to my food plan, I used the Atkins mix.  It was awful.  Thankfully, I made half the recipe.  I ate a couple slices and threw it out.  I refuse to eat food that doesn't taste good.  I made DH and son an Orange Dreamcicle Cheesecake.  My son says cheesecake is made to be decadent and it shouldn't be made with diet ingredients, but I disagree.  If you can't have those ingredients, you find a way to make it so you can enjoy too.

B: protein coffee

S: Inspire Peanut Butter Cup shake

L: Salad w/turkey, cheese, Ranch dressing; Greek yogurt

S: Think Thin bar maybe

D: Roasted chicken; green beans

S: Fresh strawberries w/Cool Whip

My Mom doesn't know and she definitely isn't going to be agreeable.....  It is breaking my heart but she is starting to go down the steps and even though she hasn't went outside it is going to happen.  When I stopped this morning she had safety pins pinned to her new bra.  I don't know why but maybe she thought they looked pretty (?).

My Mom was a quilt maker.  I think I got one of the last ones she made.  It's sad only a couple of the great grandchilren got quilts.

Sounds Good!

Welcome!  I'm fairly new here too having joined 2-3 weeks ago.  Really nice people here.  I'm 6 1/2 years out and have had a 12 lbs. regain.  I've lost 5.2 lbs. and have gotten back on track with my eating.  I had reverted to some old eating habits.

Thanks for the warm welcome! :) Congrats on your losses- tracking is a pain but it does seem to really help keep things in perspective.
