I received my box of goodies yesterday with the 15 single serve packets of Syntrax. I'm trying the lemon tea first. I also got some low carb crackers. Just plain they're ok but I think with something on them they will be good. I'm having chili for lunch and I just have to have crackers with it.
Trying to break the habit of protein bars. I gave all the Atkins bars to my DH since they contain soy. He has no allergies.
B: Click shake in almond milk
S: Protein hot chocolate
L: Chili; LC crackers
S: Greek yogurt w/fresh blackberries
D: ?? DH is going to a pancake supper at church; I would like pancakes but I should make protein pancakes

I always do Saltines. That is the only carb that I have refused to give up....lol. I make my Lemon Tea really cold. I like crushed ice. If you can't drink it plain it is mild enough to add flavoring. Was there a cherry sample? That was one of my favorites but with the Lemon Tea I could make it any flavor I wanted.
I always avoided Protein bars because of the carbs until I found the Nature Valley Gluten Free Almond Crunch bars. It's all nuts with no crazy carb fillers. You have to get the gluten free though. The others have a coating on the bottom. In fact I am enjoying one now. It's not like other Protein bars that I've tried. It doesn't make me crave another one.
I would avoid the Pancakes unless you want to crave carbs. Are they having sausage or bacon?

I'm having the lemon tee now. I made it with crushed ice and water in a shaker bottle. Guess I was expecting a lemonade taste. It doesn't have much taste and I used the whole package so I added some peach mango Crystal Lite and it's much better. I need some protein powder that doesn't require milk. The ones I've been using need milk and made in a blender for me to like them. I might buy a jug of Lemon Tea. With it came in smaller containers.
Roz, where do you buy the Almond Crunch Bars you like? I have some Nature Valley protein bars, but they have 14 carbs, 5 fiber and 10 grams of protein. Really tasty, but not the best for low carb.
Not sure what is served with the pancakes. I'm thinking of making Ricotta Pancakes that are low carb. I got some low carb bagels in my order. I thought they would be really small but they are as big as Panera's and only 65 calories. Can't remember the carbs.

I like the Lemon Tea because it is so mild. I can drink it plain or add any flavor that I want. I use the MIO flavorings because I can carry them in my purse without leaking. Peach Mango is my favorite!!
Try cottage cheese in your blender instead of Milk. It makes them thick and delish! The only place I have found my bars are at Target. DD said she found them at Walmart but I haven't. Only get the Almond Crunch Gluten Free though. There's 13 carbs in it but it's from Nuts so it's good Carbs. I don't worry about carbs unless they are "bad carbs" from potatoes, bread, pasta, rice etc.

I'm drinking the lemon tea right now. One tube of generic mango peach crystal light in 20 oz of ho****er and 1/2 scoop lemon tea. I love it hot in the winter. Early out, I used a whole scoop but I can get more protein from food these days.

Back to the grind... I was in San Antonio all weekend with my boyfriend and we had a fabulous time! I even lost 2 lbs!! ;) I saw my NUT Thursday and she said to add more healthy carbs in my diet... that my stalls may be due to my getting to few carbs. So here goes... adding fruit. :)
Sleeve - Weight Loss Mode
Breakfast - Matrix Cookies & Cream with Carbmaster milk (34 protein, 9 carbs)
Snack - 2 hard boiled eggs (12.58 protein, 1.12 carbs)
Snack - Sliced Pears (.31 protein, 6.5 carbs)
Lunch - Homemade Cobb Salad with Homemade Avacado Dressing (38.85 protein, 9.81 carbs)
Snack - Grapes (1 protein, 14 carbs)
Dinner - ?
Vitamins - On Track ( .4 protein, 10.2 carbs)
Water - Behind, but getting on track
Exercise - Treadmill and some kind of strength training.
Totals so far 87.13 Protein, 50.63 Carbs, 838 Calories, 33.05 Fat
Just be careful with the fruit...lots of sugar. There's sugar and carbs in veggies too. I can't see too few carbs being the reason for a stall. My guess would be not enough "good" protein. Other than your Protein drink I don's see a lot of good protein. I never counted protein in food only my Whey Protein. Food Proteins were just an added bonus.

I'm on the edge of my seat... your message was cut off. :) Other than my... hmmm.
Yes, adding fruit is making me nervous... I thought I would try adding a little and see what happens. I feel I get a lot of good protein in and I get a protein shake a day just to push my numbers over 80.
Thank you for your insight and wisdom! :)
