Another snowy, frigid day.
Good morning Lightweight friends! Mother Nature has dumped more snow on South Jersey. The school where I teach is closed and my children also have a snow day. I am working on my second cup of coffee, reading through previous posts, trying to stay connected to our WLS community. When I stay connected and hold myself accountable to all of you I tend to do better, make better choices. Right now my problem is the evening. It seems that I am more likely to start grazing at this time. I am going to cut out my evening popcorn tonight, because they are probably the trigger that starts me on the grazing. So, I am publicly stating that I will not have popcorn, but will make a protein shake instead. Hopefully, this choice will help me today. Have a great day. I would love to hear about what you struggle with and how you are dealing with these struggles.

We got a little snow starting Sunday evening, but it was just enough to make a mess. I'm fine with little or no snow since I'm working a temp job. I will not be scheduling any jobs next winter. I know it's really rough for those on the East Coast.
I too have a problem with grazing in the evening, and I'm working on stopping that. My DH has to have a snack about 8:30 p.m. and that starts me thinking. I have stopped fixing it for him. Told him it's too tempting for me so he can get his own snack. I ask myself if I'm REALLY hungry and most of the times I'm not.
When I'm home all day I tend to eat less. If I'm working on a quilt project, I don't think about eating. When I'm working, I eat more. I know much of it is boredom. I have set 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. as snack time if I need it.
Combine to OH has helped me so much since I returned here a couple weeks ago.

We have a sheet of ice over sleet so I am stuck in except to go out and take care of the horses. I'm even running out of work to do. And of course, I can't get out to go to the qym. Now the cold is coming so it will be a few more days before I can get out I imagine.
I do a shake or protein hot chocolate at night and that pretty much keeps me from snacking late. Plus, I don't keep snack food around. DH keeps popcorn so if I am really desperate, I do a snack size bag.
