I guess the sodium in it.  I just know I always am up after eating it and I had it Friday night and Saturday noon.  I love the stuff and it really is pretty good for you but I guess the sodium makes me hold more fluid.

Well, that means that in a day or so, things should be back down after you've peed out all the fluid.

I wouldn't give it up...kraut has lots of benefits. If it's not cooked, it is an excellent probiotic. I wish I liked it more...but a spoonful goes a LONG way. :)
