Morning Lightweights! I am smiling from ear to ear. It took a month to lose 4 pounds of my regain, but I did it! Now I am going to get off that last bit of weight to finally reach my goal!

Any time the scale goes down in numbers, it's time to celebrate.  Good for you!!  I joined OH before I had surgery and I wondered why people were asking about different diet plans.  Why would you need a diet plan once you had surgery?  I finally ask and someone told me once the "honeymoon" stage was past, some patients gained weight, sometimes gaining all they lost back.  Well.....that certainly wouldn't be me.  I would not gain weight because having surgery would take care of that.  I thought that person really didn't know what she was talking about.

Now I know what she was talking about.  I got to my lowest weight a year after surgery and stayed there about 30 minutes.  I gained 5 lbs. and maintained that until the last year or so.  My total regain is 12 lbs.  It's finally sunk in I need to eat the bariatric way.  I can't eat what everyone else does, just less.  My body doesn't work like everyone else.

This is my 4th day of eating correctly and I do feel better.  Just can't wait to be able to get back in those slacks with a zipper and waistband.

Glad you are getting back on track!!  It's not a "DIET"  It's a "Way of Life"!!  Is your BMI still normal? Everyone has regain.  That's why we tell those still in the honeymoon period to lose as much as they can and to not start Maintenance to early.  I gained 16 lbs.  from my low but I'm a normal BMI and I'm exactly where I should be. I've been maintaining for over 4 years now.
