Back on track group
I joined that group and it's helping me get back on track. It gave some good suggestions on how to do it that it's not overwhelming and so far I've lost half of my water weight. ( i had gained about 9 lbs of water in a mater of a week or so due to not having my water pills ) When the water weight is gone i will start seeing real results and I can't wait. I'm feeling positive again. My hardest thing right now is wanting to eat at night. But I will work on that more when I have the mini goals I'm currentl working on under my belt.
I hope you all are doing well.
My food for today consisted of two cups of coffee. 3 oz of keilbasa, 20 tbs of saurkraut split into two meals. And i will have a snack this evening some time. I've upped my water intake. It's not where it should be yet but it's getting a little better each day. I've had more to drink today than yesterday. It's just a matter of getting back in the habit again. I also started walking the last three days. they aren't long walks but at least I'm moving. the first day I walked about 10 min, then 15, yesterday 3- 15 min walks! And will be doing 2 - 15 in walks today.
sounds like you are trying again. That is good. Just know that the kielbasa and kraut have a lot of sodium and are not going to help with your water retention issues.

I'm doing it!! Another good day yesterday. I'm staying below my calories burned and I'm walking every day. Today I'm going to focus on my water intake. I've been awake since 2:30 am so I've already had a cup of coffee and my breakfast. I'm going to drink 33.8 oz of water between each cup of coffee with the hopes of getting all of my water in today and to cut my amount of coffee because my breakfast was a LOT of calories.
I've been tracking all of my calories even when I'm ashamed and i do not want to. It's helping me not feel so guilty and I'm remembering that if I have one bad day that it doesnt' mean I screwed up my accomplishments up until then and that I can start again immediately afterwards.
I'm feeling pretty good about my new journey so far. Thank you all for the support. :D
I'm back here after a few years of absence. I would pop in every now and then but didn't really participate. My RNY was 7/8/2008 and I maintained my loss until the last year or so. I put on about 13 lbs. My slacks with a zipper and waistband no longer fit so my goal is getting back in those pants.
Keilbasa and kraut sound good but I just can't eat kraut. My pouch doesn't like it. Also doesn't like broccoli or anything spicy.
My worst habit is grazing. I still don't eat a lot at meal but you can add a lot of calories snacking. I schedule my snacks at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. If I'm really hungry I can have a snack. I'm trying to break the habit of eating in the evening.
Looks like you are on your way to success.

Grazing and water intake are my two BIG problems but I've done good the past 4 or 5 days. YAY me! I'm lucky because with my VSG the fact that i don't drink with meals and don't drink things that are carbonated I honestly believe this has kept my tummy and my restriction the size it's supposed to be. I'm doing better about not grazing and I'm working on not eating at night. That's my danger zone! I'm trying to eat a filling meal for dinner later in the day. sometimes as late as 8 at night. Because I'm an insomniac night time eating is difficult for me but I'm not beating myself up over it. I'm proud of the strides I'm making and I'm getting better each day. I hope you get back on track! I'm glad you are back and that you did so before your weight gain was out of control like mine. I gained 29 lbs of the weight I had lost, having never reached my goal weight. So now I have my original weight to lose and an additional (now) 24 lbs left to lose. I believe I'm at 56 lbs that I have to loose still but this is the firs time in a very very long time that I feel it's doable.
I'm not familiar with the procedure you had. RNY patients aren't supposed to drink with meals and I never have. If my mouth gets to dry and I really need some water, I take a few sips, but if I drink too much it causes pain. I gave up carbonated beverages before surgery. Since then I've had some. Diet Coke looks so tempting in the bottle. As soon as I take the first sip I'm sorry. It just doesn't take as refreshing as it used to and it doesn't sit well with my pouch.
Just take it one day at a time. Yesterday, I made dinner and fixed potatoes for my guys, but I had none. Usually, I have a small serving, but I need to stop having even a small amount of starchy foods.
