I'm so glad I found this forum.  I think I can lose the extra pounds.  I was visiting another bariatric site but just wasn't getting much out of it.  The owner of the site also sells product including vitamins, etc.  Her protein powder is very good but very expensive along with shipping costs.  Sometimes she is a little snarky with her comments, and I don't appreciate snarky.  :)

I love Click but to keep my carbs low I may have to switch protein powder.  Click has 12 carbs per serving.  Also, I have Yoplait Greek yogurt on hand I need to use.  Hubby wouldn't touch yogurt although he's never tasted it.  Son loves yogurt but the gloppy kind.  Fage is much lower in carbs so I'll switch back to that.

Breakfast - Click/Fit Frappe shake in 40 calorie almond milk

Snack - Protein bar

Lunch - Lettuce; Mexican chicken; 1 oz. cheese

S - ??

Dinner - Pork chop; kale; green beans

I'm glad I found this thread... everyone here is so nice and supportive! Welcome!

Have you heard of Carbmaster milk?  It is sold at Kroger (they also have Carbmaster yogurt) anyway... They have plain, vanilla and chocolate.  The vanilla has 11 g of protein and only 3 carbs per 8 oz.  It may be something you can substitute the almond milk for and still use the Click that you like??  Just a thought... :)

I've not seen the Carbmaster products here.  The almond milk is only 30-40 calories.  I've forgotten how many carbs it has, but not many.  I could use water but I prefer milk of some kind.

I'm glad you found us too!!!  I love the Syntrax (low calories and no carbs) and the Matrix Mint Cookie (worth the carbs).  Syntrax has a variety pack for $16.99 (includes P/H).  Most of us drink this.  https://www.si03.com/reg_index.htm or call 866-333-7403 x 800.

I'm not a coffee drinker but for those that are they usually use real decaf coffee and use protein as a creamer.  Be careful of Protein Bars they are usually low Protein, full of carbs and they also can cause feelings of hunger.

I can't eat plain yogurt.  Sometimes I dr. it up with SF cheesecake pudding mix and some fruit but I usually use the Dannon Lite n Fit Greek Yogurt with the cherries.  80 Calories, 9 Carbs, 7 sugars, 12 Protein.  I don't eat more than 1 a day and not every day.

Add Cottage Cheese to your Protein. It makes a shake really thick and ups the Protein.

How many "Good" Proteins are you getting in?

I have used the Syntrax Cappuccino and loved it.  I also use BE Peanut Butter Cup and BE Caramel Latte but have been having Click daily, sometimes twice a day if I'm home.  For protein bars, I eat Quest bars most of the time, but I have a box of Nature Valley Protein Bars.  They have 10 g protein, 14 carbs and 5 g fiber.

In the beginning I had protein coffee every day but after a while got tired of it.  I need to start having that again.  I also did iced protein coffee in the afternoon.  I don't like regular yogurt at all but I do like Greek yogurt but not in a shake.  I don't care for cottage cheese but I will try it in a shake.  Since RNY, I can hardly eat eggs.  Used to love omelets but not just can't stand them.

I get in 80-100 grams of protein daily.

I definitely need to change my ways.  :)

What bother's me the most about my IC and giving up my Protein drinks (besides I love them) is that others read my menu and think I'm successful and I don't use drinks (that's one reason I mention it so much). I feel I am successful because I used Protein drinks and trying to get my Protein in with food not only is harder but it also makes me crave more food.

OH no..you lost another house keeper and one you could trust!  Good luck finding another one!

Sounds Good Price!

Hello everyone!  I hope your having a great Thursday!  Sorry about your IC flaring up Roz! :(

I had to have blood drawn for my 3 month surgiversary, so I was fasting this morning.  I didn't get there until about 10:30 so I am behind on everything!!  But, the day is still young and I'm going to get it in!

Right after I got home, the mail carrier rang my bell.  My Syntrax Matrix Peanut Butter Cookie is here!!! I think I know how I can get my extra protein in today! ;)

Sleeve (Weighloss Mode)

Snack:  Syntrax Nectar Caribbean Cooler with 32 oz water (will sip on this all day for extra protein) (0 carbs, 46 protein)

Lunch: 1 egg scrambled with shredded cheddar cheese and black olives (1.16 carbs, 9.86 protein)

Dinner: Syntrax Matrix Peanut Butter Cookie (6 carbs, 23 protein)

May add another snack to get my protein goals up over 80...

Vitamins: Running behind, but going to get them in (10.2 carbs, .4 protein)

Water: Behind as well, but I will do my best!

Exercise: Treadmill for sure and may add something else.

Totals: 17.36 Carbs, 79.26 Protein, 14.78 Fat, 541 Calories
