Water weight UGH
I am so swollen that I have put on 3-5 lbs on any given day in just a matter of two days or so. I don't know how to get the swelling to go down but it's so bad that my hands and feet hurt. Anyone else have this problem? What did you do? I'm trying so hard to get back on track and loose the rest of my weight but it's very discouraging to have put on this much weight this quick even if it is water weight. The not knowing my true weight is driving me crazy!
Increase your plain water intake and protein. I haven't gained water weight like that but I've read about it. Also, stay off the scales, they will drive you crazy. Good luck!

After my knee replacement, when I would get very swollen, I used Water Pills from the health food store. BUT, you really have to increase your fluid intake and move. I know it sounds crazy to drink more when you are already swollen but that is what you have to do. So drink up and walk.
Throw away the darn scale.

My scales rarely move more than a 1/2 pound or so but I made Ham and Bean soup and it was extremely salty and I'm up a pound. My fingers feel really tight and my ankles look puffy so I'm really watching my salt and getting in more liquids.
