Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES  during the Honeymoon Period.

Over the Hump day!!!     Do you have a certain weight you try to stay at?  I have a 3 lb range that I consider my perfect weight.  A weight that I feel good at, it's maintainable, and my clothes fit perfect.  It is the strangest thing to me because if I get on the scale and it is only an ounce over my range I truly make myself believe that my pants feel tighter and the roll around my belly is larger....LOL.

Maintenance:   6+ years out and started the new year right on target!!!

Breakfast:  Banana

Lunch:      Salad with Protein Toppings

Snack:      80 Calorie Cherry Yogurt

Snack:      Nature Valley Almond Crunch...YUMMY Nuts (Only buy the Gluten Free the plain ones are too sweet)

Dinner:     Ham and Bean Soup

Snack:      3 TB. of Popcorn

Well I'm back amongst the living.  I don't know what I had, but it had me quarantined to my room from Saturday morning to Monday afternoon. Yesterday I was off work because of 2 previously scheduled Dr. Appointments, one of them being with my surgeon (my official 3 month surgiversary is Friday).  He said I am doing amazing!  He is very happy with my progress and where I am headed. :) Today I'm back to work and I'm missing my nap (since I was in bed for 3 days...) LOL

Snack: 2 scoops of Grape Syntrax Nectar with 32 oz water to sip on all morning (0 carb, 46 protein)

Breakfast: 1 egg scrambled with 2 TBSP ground turkey sausage and a piece of reduced fat sharp cheddar cheese (1.89 carb, 13.79 protein)

Lunch: Grilled ground beef patty with Weigh****chers Cheese Single with mustard and ketchup for dipping (6.15 carb, 18.88 protein)

Dinner: ?? Hoping my boyfriend gets off work early enough and we can go out.  If so I'll get steak, chicken or fish. :)

Vitamins: Check! (10.20 carbs, .40 protein)

Water: On track!

Exercise:  We'll see if I am not completely exhausted after being sick and then my first day back to working all day, but I plan to do 30 minutes (1.5 miles) on the treadmill.

Totals (so far without dinner): 18.23 Carbs, 79.07 Protein, 31.74 Fat, 685 Calories

Hi Roz!  Oh - I LOVE ham and bean soup.  I don't allow myself beans because 1.  they're carby.  2.  They make me really painfully gassy.

Funny how we can psych ourselves out with just a small gain.  But - if it works and makes you get back on track, then use it!

Today:

B - coffee x2 with creamer (my indulgence!)

L - 1/2 chicken breast (leftover from dinner last night) yes it was breaded w/bacon and cheese - yummy

S - almonds and 1.5 scoops of chocolate protein in unsweetened vanilla almond milk

D - my girlfriend wants to go out for steak.

I understand the gas.....LOL!!!!!!!   I think we have 2 bowls left so DH will probably finish that off.  I think the salt is bloating me big time.
