Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES  during the Honeymoon Period.

Morning LW's!!!

Well our stress level went from bad to worse yesterday afternoon until about midnight and then things got a little better.  Right after DD left for Atlantic City (work), I went to work, and DH took over taking care of the grandsons the school called and said DGS fever was back up to 102.  He has been sick for weeks.  He is 6 yrs. old and has lost 8 pounds.  His fever just comes and goes.  DH picked him up at school, threw a fit on the phone with DD when she told him to call the Pediatrician and then met DSinlaw and headed for Pittsburgh's Children's Hospital. They took his vitals, gave him some Motrin which helped, and then sat in the waiting area for over 3 hours before he was taken to a room.  DS said the place was packed with sick kids. They tested him for Meningitis which came back negative (Pediatricians fear)...YEAH! , Mono test won't be bac****il Monday, but they got him hydrated, increased his Motrin and said if the Mono test comes back good then it's just this horrible virus that's going around. We finally got to bed around midnight and DGS#2 slept all night.  I think it's the first nights sleep I've had in weeks....sheer exhaustion.

Oh Roz, after spending last night until 10:30 and all morning to 3pm in the hospital, I absolutely understand.  At least my "baby" is 39 and can stay there some time by himself.  DH went to relieve me this afternoon.  I came home, drove Teke for stress relief, cleaned the barn, did hay, etc.  I definitely got my exercise but I needed to be outside and doing something instead of sitting in a hospital room.  DS is better but his appendix has ruptured so they have to keep him on IV antibiotics until they are sure he is ok.
