WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES  during the Honeymoon Period.

Morning LW's!!!

Stress...I'm trying really hard not to Stress eat!!!  Life has been crazy at home and work!

Grandkids have keep getting sick over and over again.  I can't believe that DH and I haven't gotten it yet.  DD's are traveling to Atlantic City this morning for a Big Competition and we have our oldest 2 grandsons.  DH and I are splitting the day.  I have the morning shift and he is doing the afternoon so we don't have to take a whole day off of work.

This is a horrible time for me to have to miss work. So many changes are being made and since I work with Day Cares every day brings another surprise. Mandated Reporting is going to benefit our kids but it's going to be a nightmare until all of our Providers are finished with all of the new clearances and classes they have to take.  I've even had Husband's calling and yelling at me.  Like I have anything to do with all of these decisions...lol. I'm hoping to take the 3 hour exam this afternoon just so I know how to explain it all to them. I hope it's easy to understand or life is going to be rough the next couple of months.

Maintenance:   6+ years out and starting the new year right on target!!!

Oooo -work stress.  Not ever fun but a good idea for you to take the exam so you can relate to what they are needing to do.  Sorry to hear about the sick kids.

Made Asiago chicken last night for dinner. By the time it was done I was full from snitching while I ate - lol... but man, does it still smell good in here! I didn't have Asiago cheese so I substituted some sharp white cheddar cheese. I can't really taste it so maybe I didn't use enough. Not sure if I'll make this receipe again as it took a LONG time... stirring, waiting for fluids to reduce (twice), etc.

my menu yesterday:

B - coffee

L - sushi - I ate a LOT. I ate an entire spicy tuna roll (they were pretty small but still)... and 8 pieces of sashimi. That is a lot for me. I'm usually full after about 4-5 pieces of just the sushi. Well.. I DID get full, but plugged on as I didn't have that much left by then.

D - picking the chicken and stuff....

Today is the chicken for lunch.  Not sure what's for dinner but I do have a lot of leftovers and maybe chicken again - I made a LOT of it.

Jody, I don't know how you have time to cook!  Traveling between states, remolding, Grandkids etc. and now a Wedding and another new baby on the way.   How far along is your DD now?  Do you know what she's having yet?  I'm getting anxious to hold a little one again. DD is suppose to have her C-Section on March 5th. They say the baby is big already.  I think her other boys were over 8 lbs. which is huge for our family.

I would much rather eat out of the pan while cooking than sit down and eat....LOL. Meat is the #1 culprit for that  habit especially if there is a really tender piece.   I've always done that. Most the time I'm full before it's even time for dinner.

Sounds like you are getting back on track...Yippee!!!!

She's got another 6 weeks (I'm from the old school where we count months, not actual weeks - but she does).  Yes, we're having another girl!  They're ecstatic.  No name chosen yet.

I really have more time than it seems when I post.  I've actually enjoyed researching low-carb meals, figuring out how to make them better and cooking them.  Most of the time they turn out good, sometimes not, sometime fabulous.  And yes, like you I nibble out of the pan then am full and can't eat.  Fell off track over the weekend - need to get back on!  The bathroom reno is being managed from-afar.  Luckily I have Nicole there to run over and check things if needed.

Now I'm thinking of getting a dog.... THAT may crimp my style some but figure I can make it work (if my landlords in VA will let me).  The biggest issue will be my travels leaving from VA since I don't have family here to watch it.  In MI it won't be a big issue since I have my sister and daughter.  I'm going to have to ask them before I get one if they're willing.  I know my sister will be IF I get a dog she approves of.  But I'm thinking a smaller one that is easier to move around.  We'll see.  I may come to my senses later.  Since I work from home 80% of the time, I'll be around for it.  It's my "on the whim" weekend motorcycle trips, etc that will be affected.

My DD has a Yorkie and a Maltese. The one gets car sick.  She finally found a groomer that she likes that lives within a mile so he can handle riding that far.  If anything ever happens to DH I will probably get a small dog to keep me company.  I can picture you with a Big dog.  What kind were you thinking.

A small one. My sister wants me to get a yorkie.  I need something small because my place in va is small. I still need to talk to the landlords about it. I'm open to any smaller breed or mix as long as they are good with kids, other dogs and like long car rides.

I hate stress period, work, home, whatever.  I am definitely a low drama lover.

We finally had sun today but also wind.  I did drive Teke once it warmed up some and he was great.  Glad to have my well pony back.

decaf protein coffee  33g
eggbeaters, turkey pepperoni, cheese
lemon tea protein  13g
turkey soup
lemon tea protein  13g
protein bar  10g
popcorn
burger patty, avacada slices

So all that at the bottom sounds good but probably isn't going to happen.  Got a call late afternoon that DS was at the ER for test because of a pain in his side.  Ended up at the hospital until 10:30 with him.  Appendix is now out.  Headed back there this morning, Saturday, so all bets are off with making soup.  He is doing fine and that is what is important.  With DH and pneumonia, I can't let him go to the hospital.  Soup will have to wait.

This is almost the end of the turkey soup.  Tomorrow I'm planning on making beef veggie soup to have for lunch next week.  Same thing, no starchy anything but tomatoes and ground beef instead of no tomatoes and turkey.  Celery, onions, peppers, green beans, mushrooms, cabbage.

Sounds to me like your stress level should be going up!!!  I'm so glad they found out what was wrong with your DH and he is doing well!!!!

How bad do you think Navy Bean and Ham soup or Cabbage and Corn Beef would be?  That's about the only soups that I think I could eat all week long and I've been craving them.

Sounds Good Price!!  Keep us updated on DH!

I really love bean soup of any kind.  But it seems like every time I add in the smallest amount of carbs, even the good ones like beans, I gain or at least don't get these pounds off that I want off.

I was at the hospital most of the day, the DH came.  He will stay until after supper.  DS is feeling much better and can talk, understands pushing the button for the nurse, etc, but I can't leave him alone the whole time.  The appendix had ruptured so they have to keep him in the hospital on IV antibotics until they are sure the infection is gone.  So maybe a few days but I hope not.  I was just glad DH felt like he could go.  He and DS are very close and it freed me up to come home and get stuff done here.
