Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES  during the Honeymoon Period.

IT'S BLACK FRIDAY!!!!   I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Our 32 dwindled down to 30 at the last minute.  We had a great time!  I tried really hard not to over eat.  I took bites of different pies through out the day which probably totaled 1 piece in all. I wanted to take a few pictures but I was just entirely too busy.  We did take a 4th generation picture with my Mom that I posted on FB.  I think everyone realizes that Mom's health (mind) is dwindling fast.   This the first time in years that all but 1 of us was able to get home for the holiday.    We usually go shopping after our DD's go to the in-laws but the roads were awful so we are holding off until this morning.  The snow looked beautiful but it was coming down so fast. Nothing's planned menu wise but I do have a lot of shopping and walking in my future.

Hi Roz.  Had a great thanksgiving and ate too much... and I ate FULL pieces (yes plural) of pie.  I've always been leary because of dumping and RH, but nothing happened.

I cooked the turkey Wednesday night.  I haven't cooked one on decades.. plus I had a new stove and hadn't used the oven yet - so the turkey was the trial run with it - thankfully all worked as needed.

We had a "lunch" Thanksgiving.  My nephew and his wife needed to go to her folks' at 4.  Needed to get the kids down for a nap before - and quite frankly I liked having the whole afternoon quiet.  Everyone left by 1:30.

No - I'm not Black Friday shopping even though I did do some online yesterday.  I bought a newspaper for the ads to see if there was anything I couldn't live without and didn't find anything.  I have some points on a credit card and was looking at cashing them out for some gift cards.  I have to work today too (from home.. :)

Have fun and let us know what great deals you scored!!

B - bacon and eggs

L - probably something with turkey

D - I have a chicken recipe I want to try

Although I don't dump as bad as I used to I still have the fear and dump slightly on a regular basis especially if I eat something sweet on an empty stomach.  I still hiccup (which I am doing right now...LOL) even if I take a couple bites to many which I think is strange but count it as a blessing.

I doubt I scored any deals but I got a lot of my shopping done.   I got a couple things for each of the 8 grandkids and after my DD's are done buying I will buy them some more things. I took notes on things my DD's mentioned.  Which reminds me DD#3 liked a scarf and I forgot to go back and buy it. I might have to do that today.  Hopefully it's not gone.

I went to my best friend's family dinner.  There were around 30 of us and it was pretty great.  I am so thankful they include us.  I did ok but even a small spoonful of stuff was too much.  I brought home leftovers and did it again for supper, ugh.  It has to be a no (very low) carb rest of the week!!!  Meeting this afternoon.

decaf protein coffee  33g
scrambled eggs w/ cheese and ham
lemon tea protein  13g
turkey burger patty, cole slaw
lemon tea protein  13g
pistashios
boneless pork chop, broccalli

Hi Roz,

Sounds like you had a big crowd.  We had about 15 and then we fed 13 at the fire department.  No shopping for me.  DH and I got up this morning and decided to clean out the kitchen cabinets and then I finished by cleaning my house really good.  I will probably do the tree tomorrow.
I had carrot cake yesterday and some pecan pie(pie made me sick no more of that).

I would have loved a good piece of cake instead of pie.  I had those bites of pie but nothing tempted me enough to eat a whole piece.  I cleaned out my kitchen drawers today after church.  I told my girls I wanted new kitchen and bath towels for Christmas.  My stuffs getting so old.

Sounds Good!

Poor little Newton and You!!!! Do you mean he has 8 months until it reoccurs or till he passes?

DD#3s little Harley got into a bag of Chocolate and got terribly sick.  My DD couldn't find him when they got home and she thought he had died.  She was hysterical and then found him in a closet sleeping on the towels.  Someone must have closed the door on him but he didn't even make a noise when she was calling for him.

Sounds Good Gina!

Every dog reacts differently to the disease and the chemo. They have been very pleased with the way he's handled the chemo.  The prognosis is if the disease reoccurs it will kill him very quickly, so we decided to have him put down if the disease reoccurs. The vet says reoccurrence could be as short as 3 months or as long as 3 years, maybe more.
