Lightweight usually means we started this journey between 30 and 40 BMI, or less than 150 pounds to lose. We don't get hung up on the numbers around here and we try not to be critical of anyone. Welcome!

Thank you for answering. I just never seen that before. I am a lightweight then. I am having bypass because of my health.

I am 203 and when I go to support groups now they ask me if I am post oP and I say no pre op, some ppl acted like that bothered them until my dietician told my story. I didn't expect that lady to be like that..This is just as nerve racking to me as it is them. I am not doing this for vanity.

Many of us had the same issue.  "Your not big enough for surgery!!!"  Well, my Dr and I agree it will save my life.

You will get some of that on the main boards too.  That is why we have our group and we have stuck to this board primarily.  Glad you found us!!!

Thank you so much I am glad I found you also. My A1C jumped from 6.0 to 9.9 in less than a yr and I didnt gain any weight with it I just maintained. They had no idea it happened. So now I should be on insulin and they dont want to til after the surgery so they dont have to. I have had some major health problems in the past 4 yrs. My hubby is active duty in the Army and my health has been a pain in his butt.
