WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
Morning LW's!!!! Are you getting Anxious for the Holidays? I was thinking about my first holidays after WLS. I started real food the week of Thanksgiving and it tasted sooo good. I tried a few bites of everything and was completely satisfied at the end of the meal. I rarely want my picture taken but I am really glad I let my DH take a few pictures in front of the Christmas tree. I was down 41 pounds weighing in at 162 that morning. My DD's all bought me new clothes and they all fit for the first time ever but I didn't get to wear them very long....LOL. I never dreamed that I would drop sizes so fast.I've got most of my Thanksgiving Shopping Done. We are having dinner for 32 this year so I'm thinking I might have to get 2 turkeys. I'll have to give my DD one of them to roast.

Got to get through my event this weekend before I can think about holidays. Actually, I'm not competing but will help with the whole thing. Went to the grocery today and they have all of the holiday food out, cookies and such. I didn't buy anything extra but some was really tempting. We will go to a friends for dinner and I don't have my assignment yet so can't do anything about it now anyway. DS will be home for 4 days and that will mean extra cooking one way or the other.

Still pretty sore. I do ok during the day but at night when I would like to sit in my recliner, watch TV and knit, I just can't. That chair is the worse!!! So I end up in bed where I can get on my side. The Dr said 4-6 weeks and it will be 3 this Saturday. I'm pretty over this.

I sure hope it heals up for you soon. When I lost 75 lbs. of WW I had sever tailbone pain and I think it's the worse thing I ever experienced. There was just no way to get comfortable.

Hi Roz,
We had a wild weekend. Our power went out Saturday morning about 5 or 5:30 and did not come back on until around 6:30 at night. I spent Sunday trying to catch up on things I was going to do Saturday and couldn't. My sister and her family came by to pick up my nieces dog we were watching for them to go to Disney and were going to spend the night. They went on home because we were not sure what time the power would come back on... All day budget meeting yesterday with one of our funding agencies that we are afraid might cut the library out completely. Another meeting this afternoon and the big board meeting is this Thursday night... Retirement here I come. I need to start me a count down calendar.
