Menus and Miles Monday Nov. 3rd
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
WOW...LW's it feels like I've been gone forever!!! Thanks to everyone who started M&M for me!!! The cruise was wonderful but very tiring. The smaller Disney ships are a lot easier to get from place to place and a lot less people. My scales were up 2 pounds which is not bad for how many times we ate. I tried to eat a lot of Protein and only took a few bites of the desserts. It's hard for me to eat away from home so I'm not surprised that the scales didn't go up much. I'm terrified of water and I cried out of fear as I got into the dolphin pool but I actually stuck with it long enough to touch and kiss a dolphin. DH was very patient with me. Something I never would have done before WLS. One more thing I can scratch from my list.
I need to get groceries so my Menu is a little week.

Glad you are home and I am glad to be home. Teke won the best conditioned award and was 3rd in his class. I was very pleased with him. The day of the marathon was 34 degrees, snow/sleet/rain and 25 mph wind. Awful. I fell and bruised my tail bone and can barely sit. No muscle pump for me tonight.
decaf protein coffee 33g

salad, brownie at a meeting
lemon tea protein 13g

That's Awesome about Teke!! He turned out to be a great addition to your family. So sorry you fell and got hurt. Is it any better today (Tuesday)? When I bruised mine after losing a lot of weight on WW it didn't heal for a really long time. It was very painful. Did you fall because of the weather? I hope you dressed warm or do you a special outfit you have to wear?
Sounds Good!

The fall was really a very hard bump on the metal arm of the carriage. While I was on the marathon, a dog came out of nowhere and spooked Teke. We hit a post and the carriage almost overturned. I was dislodged and came down on the metal arm of the carriage, hard, right on my tailbone. I don't think it is a bit better today. I can walk and stand and laydown but sitting is very painful. And mostly at work, I have to sit. the day of the marathon I had on long johns, a silk layer, a wool layer and a huge coat and was still freezing. The rest of the days were ok with just normal winter layers.

I'm really glad to be home. The 5 day cruise was nice and made you want more but the 7 day cruise was just way to long and tiring.
Sounds Good!

We did have a great to,e bit it was really exhausting. My girls already booked another one for next December but DH and I are going to pass on it. We want to get a few things fixed around the house before he retires.
How does the reduced ketchup taste? Do you have Heinz Ketchup where you live? It is made in Pittsburgh.
I hate that it gets dark so soon after I get home from work. This morning I got up so early. It will take me awhile to get use to this time change. I walked a lot on the trip but I also ate a lot of bad carbs and baby strawberry ice cream cones.
Just think when you retire you will have a lot of time to walk.
