WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
Happy Over the Hump Day! I actually got my shorts back out this morning because the weather is going to warm up for a few days.
Top of my range since Friday (120). I want to see 119 again!!! I'm going to try an increase my food proteins but I will never be able to reach the totals I get with my Whey Protein! I would love to hear how some of RNY's that have been on maintenance for awhile that don't do Protein drinks are doing. It's a lot more work trying to stay on track when constantly putting food in your mouth.

Believe me I don't eat like a saint! If I did I'd be down around 112 but I'd rather be at 119 and not be watching 24/7.
WOW.....That's a Great Protein total!

Hi Roz! I got so sick of protein shakes that I can't do them any more. I do well getting my protein in with foods though. I am a sleeve not RNY. I usually eat 2 eggs for breakfast, then 3 oz meat for breakfast and lunch, a dairy snack in the afternoon and for evening if I need more protein I eat some greek yogurt
B egg, turkey sausage, peppers whole wheat tortilla
L chicken, squash, little brown rice
S greek yogurt, half banana, walnuts
D BLT on whole wheat, tomoatoes
S apple and peanut butter

I crave my Shakes which is a strange miracle to me. I hate drinking anything! I have to force myself to get liquids in. I drink 3 cups of Vanilla tea a day and that's all the liquids I get in without my shakes.
We all have to figure out what works for us and you are doing a great job of that!

Hi Roz,
I can't imagine not having my protein drinks. They really help me not eat a lot more junk food. Hopefully one audit will be completed tomorrow. One annual report was submitted today so one more to go and one more audit to go.

The first time the PA took them away from I was devastated because I didn't have a clue of what I was going to eat or if I was going to gain weight. I was pretty terrified. It was easier to this time.
Sounds Good Linda!
