Calling all Lurkers!!!
I thought I responded to your post but I can't find it. I'm wondering if the phone rang at work or something I didn't click submit.
Welcome!!! I was 203 when I started but I must be a lot shorter than you because my BMI was at 40. I wish I had a little more height....lol.
Sometimes it's hard starting something new without a lot of direction. That's why I love my LW's! Start a new post and ask any question you want and you will get some responses. If you look back in the archives you might be able to find some of our old posts when we were early out. I know when I started that's what I did but the site has changed a lot in the last 6 years.
Are you using Good Whey Protein? Are you on soft foods like cottage cheese, yogurts, soups? When you get to the puree stage you can have just about any kind of protein you want. I loved pureed roast and chicken. I used a lot of unflavored Whey Protein early out. I put it in practically every thing I ate or drank. This is my only support group. Come and join us!

Great job!!! Sounds like you are doing very well already. Terrific to have a big guy around. Most of us are tiny ladies, I am 4'10 but my hubby is 6'4".

Welcome and Congrats to your upcoming surgery!!! We've only had a few men posters over the 6 years I've been here but we enjoyed their posts. They all lost their weight so fast and then they were gone....LOL. Everyone once in awhile they stop in a let us know how they are doing. My son-in-laws uncle was suppose to have WLS this week but his sugar was up. We are hoping he gets it down and doesn't get discouraged and not have the surgery.

I'm a lurker as well. Just starting my journey and hopeful to have WLS in the coming months. My Dr. just referred me to an informational seminar to get me started. I will attend that on 9/19 and figure it out from there. My one fear is that my insurance will not approve me because I my BMI is around 38 - 39 and I have Obstructive Sleep apnea and borderline High blood pressure. They require a six month supervised diet as well. I'm here gathering as much info as I can to make sure I am prepared for what is to come. I've been overweight more than I have been at a normal weight. I have lost and gained back weight several times over the years and have never been able to have a lasting weight loss. I just want to be healthy and feel better. I hate hurting every single day and not being able to tie my shoes without being out of breath. I want my life back.
