Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES  during the Honeymoon Period.

Happy Late Afternoon LW's!!  Hot..hot...hot...here!  I think it's the first hot day of summer and there is only 1 week left in August. DD#2 is really bummed she didn't get a teaching position.  She would have been happy with a long term sub position. She will have her Master's in December for Special Ed. and I guess there is a lot more demand those.

Walked this morning then drove Teke and headed to town to meetings.  Got to get these extra ### off.  Roz, I actually travel more in the fall and spring than summer to stay out of the heat.  I will have camping trips in Sept, Oct, Nov so will be very busy.  At least for most of those, I will be planning my own meals instead of being company and having someone else plan them.

I got most of my fall plants for the garden yesterday and need to go plant them.  Kale, collards, lettuce, brussell sprouts, yummmm.  They were out of brocalli but hopefully I will get some of that too.

decaf protein coffee  33g
eggbeaters, spinach, cheese
lemon tea protein  13g
tuna, banana pickles in a low carb pita, cukes
lemon tea protein  13g
eggplant parm, salad
protein shake  23g

OH...I figured spring and summer would be your busy times.  Its really hard to eat good at some of our cheer comps.

I didn't know there was such a thing as fall plants. We mustn't do those in PA.

Sounds Good!

I have to stay away from PB too.  It just seems to make me hungrier and craving other things....like PB cookies.....   Just a suggestion but I'd try to replace it with a Good Protein.

It was the 3 week mark yesterday and I can eat food again! Tiny, tiny amounts of food. And I'm trying things cautiously. So far things seem ok. I was bummed out though last week because I got dehydrated after returning to work, my tolerance for milky protein shakes is gone and I started getting sick. Probably I wasn't as diligent about my liquids as well. After about 3 days I noticed a significant drop in energy levels and when I contacted my surgeon's office to see what I could take they told me to go to acute care ASAP for tests and an IV drip. I know it's a very small thing, but everything had been going so well! I feel fine now, and am back to my old 3 mile walk routine. I was SO wiped out afterwards, but I had the energy to finish without feeling too weak.

B: light and fit greek, vanilla

L: small cube of chicken (I bought pre-marinaded bits meant for kebabs, they're a great size and I'll be adding them to my meals all week) with some spinach and black beans

S: mozzarella string cheese

D: probably chicken and spinach

If she had graduated years ago instead of getting married she would probably be teaching by now. She was so discouraged this past week but now she's upbeat and thinking she doesn't know how she would be able to graduate on time if she were working every day.  She has to mentor someone in Special Ed so completing that and graduating is her goal for now.

Sounds Good!
