Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES  during the Honeymoon Period.

Enjoy the end of your weekend!! I had some spicy dip on Thursday and I'm still paying for it today.  I've been eating very bland hoping to calm my bladder down.

Missed church this morning which is a rarity to help DD#2 move all of their things to a storage building.  Kinda of sad but on to a beautiful home and a new beginning.  She got married to a wonderful man a year ago after years of abuse.  Sad for us because they are moving but SUPER Happy for her and our 3 granddaughters!

Back from camping and back to work tomorrow. :(

Brought back a few extra lbs so planning on focusing on protein till they come off.

Roz we DID go to Beartown Rocks, it was awesome!  The little 4 1/2 yr old DGS had a ball climbing on the rocks. Did a little hiking and a lot of relaxing. Two of my daughters and hubby went kayaking, but the water was too high to take DGS so that day I took  him around to all the kiddy attractions.

B eggs, deli turkey, cheese, mushrooms

L Veggie salad with egg and deli turkey

S ham and cheese roll up, cucumbers

D chicken and peach, maybe some more cucumbers

S greek yogurt, blueberries

miles none, fluids just starting, vites on my way!

Hope your tummy is better soon.

second day of rain here and it just poured last night.  Actually, it isn't raining, just misty and very grey.  I'm afraid I will get drenched if I try to go drive or walk.  Finished knitting a summer sweater and now need to find something else to start.  Decisions, decisions.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to call and see if I can get an injection.  I guess I better plan on cutting out my Protein drinks until it calms down again.  No more spicy foods for me!!

We had a beautiful weekend but it's pouring today (Monday). I just got drenched going out at lunch to feed my Mom.

Sounds like a Good Protein Day!!

Hubby played golf and I drove the cart and tended the green. I got in some good walking since he played the mountain course. Several holes had about 50 steps to climb to reach the green...we won't talk about the walks to look for the ball in the woods.

Hope you guys have good weather.  We need to go sometime when the guys can play golf.  It was too bitter when we were there over Thanksgiving.

Sorry I forgot to post here I was busy but...anyway lots of exercise and I broke the table my boyfriend's ex wife bought him.oops! Lol. First dinner out was scary!!! I was so careful but I still think I had one spoonful too much, but nothing awful.

B-protein coffee -28g

l-protein water -26g

d-saag paneer (just the saag part) and tomato soup -8g

S-plain Greek yogurt plus sf syrup -16g

sooooooo...I am not consciously keeping my calories at a typical post-op level at all, I'm just following the rules. And it's happening anyway. It's kinda weird. The band was so much more work this early on, even.

Eating out can be a challenge for a while, but it sounds like you did fine.
We were told to concentrate on protein and fluid and forget everything else for quite a while, like 6 months or so.  So just follow your program and you are good to go.
