I have noticed that alot of you that have been around and are still successful continue to DRINK your protein. I have been struggeling with my hunger lately. Yes, I have let carbs and diet coke back in my life but I am trying very hard to limit them or cut them out all together. I also don't know weather to add protein drinks (my protien of choice is unjury in coffee); or sub them for real dense protein. What is your thoughts???? The past 2 days, I've cut back on carbs and started drinking more water and BAM this morning I was down 3 lbs. Back to the weight I've been for over 1 yr. I really want to get down to 140, but I don't think that weight is in my future!!! lol
I do dense protein at meals but still do the protein drinks in between. I actually use one tube of generic crystal light and a half scoop of lemon tea or caribean cooler protein. I do keep my carbs pretty low. I don't have more than one serving of starchy veggies (beans, sweet potato) a day and try to stay away from white carbs altogether. I'm working on getting back to 125. Lost 3 lbs last week but have just bounced around this week although I have exercised religiously and been good about my eating.

I'm sorry I am just answering this now. I didn't see it before.
In November I was diagnosed with IC (painful bladder syndrome) and I had to give up my Protein drinks until I quit having flare-ups and I found that trying to get my Protein from food didn't leave much room for other foods. I was full after only a few bites of meat and didn't get filled up after eating cheeses, eggs, deli meat etc. Although my weight stayed within the range that I like I felt like I was dieting instead of eating like a "normal" person. Adding up my food Proteins also made me feel like I was on WW and I after WLS I swore that I would never count exchanges or points again!
To me, My Protein drinks are my PROTEIN and any added protein I eat are an added bonus. With my Protein drinks I don't have to sit there and force myself to eat all of my Protein. Instead I can have small portions of Protein and then I can add a few more vegetables and even occasionally have a couple TBs of carbs like mashed potatoes or mac/cheese. That sounds like a more balanced way of eating to me.
