Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES  during the Honeymoon Period.

WOW...What a night we had! DH broke 2 fingers, chipped his hand, pulled the ligaments, and  twisted his wrist. His bright Red cast goes to his elbow and of course he is helpless.   After getting the pain under control he did get some sleep but I was wrestles all night. Life has always seemed to control what I eat but since WLS it doesn't seem to be as bad but.  Before WLS I would have eaten a whole bag of chips and anything sweet I could have found. Last night I didn't even have my night time popcorn.

Awww - sorry to hear about your DH.  It's funny when I get into a stressful situation I can think "food" but then realize that is stress eating, and don't fall for it.  I think we still have the "devil/angel" on our shoulders (and head) that entices us to stress eat, then talks us out of it!

Eating today has been "not good".  I need to seriously decarb.  I can't remember the last time I allowed myself to eat this many carbs, for this long.

Today:

B - coffee w/creamer

1L - 2 pieces of leftover frozen pizza (didn't even taste that good)

2L - leftover hamburg gravy... that didn't taste that good either.

D - not sure, I have some chicken I need to cook.

Vits:  yes, some of them.  Added a hair/nails/skin B formula (looks mostly like some Biotin and A).  I've heard several say they take it and it works for them, so I'll give it a shot!

Water:  working on my ice tea

You can do this Jody!!  You just have to quit cold turkey and don't look back!  I used Biotin during my losing stage but then I had to quit because I started getting so much hair places that I didn't want it.

Wow is right, he really did it.  Hope it is less painful soon.  Does that put him out of work or will he have desk work to do?

I went this morning for my quarterly body scan at the gym.  This is my 4th one and all others have had me at 19% fat.  This time I was up to 23%, still under the recommended range but not good.  I know I have gained some, 3lbs since the last one, but I have also not been getting the exercise that I was.  So back to muscle pump 2x a week, walking again in the mornings, cutting carbs.  I feel better when that is happening but I have let life get in the way with work and trips.  I know I can get it back to 19% but it will take work.

decaf protein coffee  33g
eggbeaters, cheese, spinach, sausage
veggie burger, salsa, greek yogurt, cukes
lemon tea protein  13g
chicken salad, artichokes, edename salad
protein shake  33g

Hi Roz,

Pretty red cast!!  I bet the grandkids are amazed at that.  Sure hope he can keep the pain under control and get the work place straightened out.

My day started off good with food but this afternoon it got really bad.  I really wanted something so decided I would go get me a skinny decaf sugar free carmel frappe at our local coffee shop - I have gotten this before and it was delicious with no problems.  I should have known I was going to have a problem when the guy said the base is not sugar free but he doesn't think it is too bad - oh it was delicious but about 30 minutes after I finished it I got the shakes and broke out in a sweat.  I know when this happens I need to get something to stop it.  I was at work so kind of limited.  I had just bought some cheese sticks for the DGD's this weekend and had them at work so I ate two of those and some soda crackers.  It finally got better, but I knew then I would not be able to walk today in the heat....  Downhill from there.

B:  Protein Decaf Coffee
S:  Decaf Coffee
S:  Lemon TEa PRotein Drink
L:  Turkey Meatballs, pizza sauce, mozerella cheese
S:  Lemon TEa Protein Drink
S:  Decaf Carmel Frappe - suppose to be skinny & sugar free
S:  2 cheese sticks, 4 soda crackers
D:  1/2 low carb tortilla wrap, reduced sugar peanut butter, sugar free blueberry jam, potato chips
S:  Vanilla Bean Protein Decaf Coffee

Vitamins:  Done
Water/Fluids:  110 ozs
Miles:  None

DH loves RED!  The PA told him if he didn't pick she was going to make in PINK.  He is getting better every day...Praising GOD!!!

Isn't it crazy how we know we might dump on something and we have it anyways! I don't dump like I use to but it still isn't fun.
