Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
Happy Wednesday!!!!! The weekend is halfway here!!! I've done pretty good decarbing. I've been fighting off "hand in the cereal box" syndrome. I ordered my Mom's Stairlift this morning. I'm so excited but also worried that she will be scared to use it (or refuse to) and then my Darling Brother will KILL me!!!!!

Hi Roz! Yea, I'm dealing with my dad in a nursing home and Medicaid approval... ugh. My Mom is in a twitter and I'm trying to calm her down.
I need to decarb BAD. My mind isn't there though.... The scale isn't where I want it and hasn't been for a year... what's wrong with me? All I need to do is get 5-7 lbs off - how hard is that????
Watching the girls this afternoon while Nicole and John close on their new house. Maybe we'll go over afterwards and plan new carpet/paint, etc.
I've decided I want to paint inside my house. It's a beautiful blue/gray color and I just love it - but it's just too dark in here. On the sunniest days I still have to have the lights on. The house is shaded by trees... The furniture is dark... I'm not changing out the furniture, so wall color is easiest (and cheaper). Then maybe I'll be able to put in a darker floor then too... (right now I have this cheap berber carpet).
I'd like to know what's folks' favorite white color? There are SO many to choose from....I have white trim and want something that doesn't blend, but is a contrast. I have Dover White in my family room as a trim color.
B - coffee w/creamer
L - last of that darned calzone
S - cashews
D - not sure. Have some pork chops

I would love to lose 5-7lbs but these days, it seems almost as impossible as the 100 lbs did before surgery.

I was over doing the carbs the last few weeks and finally had to fight the carb monster because the scales went up 2 pounds. It's only been a couple of days and it's back to my norm. I know Gina scales were up quite awhile ago and she started eating/drinking lots of protein and she has done awesome! I think her last weigh in was 122 and if I'm remembering right she was in the high 120's or just over the 130 mark (might be totally wrong).
On most days it's seems to me like you aren't eating enough. When I don't eat enough I make bad choices. I seem to eat small amounts "snacks" all day long. I've found that I can eat/drink as much Protein as I want and the scales hold steady. On most days I hold off on the carbs as long as I can.
Did your DD buy the house that is close to you? Do you like this one? My DD sold hers but they haven't found one to buy yet. I think they have to be out of theirs by August 15th. They are going to rent if they don't find something. They will probably put most of their things in my brother's storage buildings. I told them they could stay with us but they want to start their girls at the schools where they want to live. I totally understand that. I've told them from the beginning they should rent until they know for sure where they want to live instead of rushing into buying something.
I just use white. It's no special color of white. My DD used a very slight touch of gray on her walls and it is really pretty with the white trim. Even with our white walls we always turn lights on. I think it's more our (DH and mine) age rather than that our house is dark.

Hi Roz, I'm back from Turkey. I was there for a week. It was very hot and I enjoyed reading my Kindle in the shade by the pool.
Anyways, it's that day again which calls for camel humor!!
BTW I think they need to start working on smaller camels and bigger needles, but this made me LOL!!
Pizza was the only thing that had any interest for me this evening.

LOL...love your camel pictures! We didn't open our pool this year. DH had his heart attack and didn't feel well in the spring so we decided it was just going to sit there this year. I think he is regretting it now that he is feeling better.
DH has been wanting pizza this week but he had 2 ball games this week the grandson's were there on Tuesday so I haven't been able to make him any. I think it's going to have to wait until the weekend.
Still an awesome Protein total! I've found that if I concentrate on Protein a few carbs don't seem to make the scales move.

Hi Roz,
Hope she likes it and uses it. Must be a parent week this week. My dad told me last night he is having a stress test tomorrow morning. Doesn't seem to have any idea why though. I think he just doesn't want to tell me. They are suppose to start a trip the first part of August and he said the doctor said he would be fine to go even if they had to put a stent in - again he has no idea why he would need a stent. Changed his medicine - again doesn't know why. Now my dad is still pretty smart so I'm guess he just isn't telling us the truth. I asked him if he thought one of us needed to start going with him to the doctor - haha - he said he can still handle that. So we will see. I'm off early today. Got tied up with cake decorations for this weekend last night and it was 10pm before I knew what was going on.

I guess it's best to put a stent in before he actually has a heart attack. DH decided all on his own he was going to stop his anti-depressant. He was taking a really low dose but I don't think he is a good judge as to whether he needs or not. He finally asked me if I notice and I said "how many times this week did I ask you if you were ok!!!!!) He still didn't get it! MEN!!!!!!!
Sounds Good!
