NSV! Went clothes shopping today...
It's been 22 days since surgery and everything I tried on from my closet was too big to even wear. Frustrated at not being able to find anything to wear, I nearly emptied my closet, passing my 22's, 20's, and 18's to my twenty year old daughter. Putting on my draw string shorts and a t-shirt at least a size too big, I decided I had to go buy some pants at least. I can wear my shirts a little big, but when you gotta pull up your shorts every time you stand up, it's time to go down a size. I went to the local consignment store and grabbed size 16's to try on my first time in the dressing room. They were all too big! The next round was 14's. They fit (but won't for long)! I couldn't believe how much thinner I looked in the mirrors at the store. I even got two pair of size 12 shorts (though they were stretchy, but still a size 12!). Day of surgery, I wore a size 20 into the hospital with a XXL shirt. Sooo excited! My surgery is working!
Single digits right around the corner! : )

Awesome!!! I was glad to hear you went to the consignment store. I spent way to much on clothes during the "fast" losing stage and I really regretted it later. The sizes just change way to often. It's great now that I'm on Maintenance because I've worn the same dress pants and shorts for about 3 years now. I do spend money getting them dry cleaned to keep them nice though. And the sale racks are Awesome for buying a few new tops to go with them!!!

I love consignment stores. After talking to several friends who had WLS (lapbands who unfortunately gained it back and are watching me closely since I'm the first of my friends to get VSG) recommended I go to consignment stores because of how quickly I will run through sizes. I can always sell the clothes back when I shrink out of the size and use that money for more clothes :)
I still go through sticker shock at real prices after a year of losing and shopping at Thrift stores. Hurray for you!!! You are doing great!!!
