Hi Honey, I'm home

Between the audit, which went perfectly and then leaving to visit my DD in Ohio, I haven't been around much but I have missed you guys.  I am so happy to be home and back in MY routine. 
DD doesn't eat poorly, she just eats very differently than I do.  She is mostly vegeterian and doesn't have much in the way of dairy either.  So my protein options at her house were very limited.  I did take all my protein powder and a few protein bars because I know that she doesn't eat on MY schedule.  She actually eats / snacks on whole grains and beans, avacados, etc instead of having meals, which we mainly at out at least once a day.  When we ate out I concentrated on protein and greens, she ate beans and rice.  I cooked eggs most mornings for breakfast and had my protein coffee but the similarities to my normal diet were totally gone after that.  I didn't gain any but that was probably due to the exercise too.  We cleaned out her upstairs which is an apartment but they had been using as part of the house.  With her partner gone, she wanted to be able to rent it so we had lots of trips up and down the stair, plus walking the dogs, etc. Emotionally, she is holding up well.  She is a strong lady and will get through all this.  We went through probate while I was there and that caused some teary moments but she is better each day. 
Anyway, I missed you guys and am happy to be home.

Welcome back Price and you have been missed.    SO sorry to hear of your DD's partner.   I will keep her in my prayers.    Welcome back again !!!

Missed You and I'm glad you are back!!!  But I figured you were busy doing something important.  I've been thinking about your DD.  I can't even imagine dealing with my DD's if something happened to their significant other.  I'm glad you were able to help her out with her cleaning.  I'm sure it helped just having you there.

The upstairs was pretty emotionally charged for her.  It was where he spent a lot of time and the TV, etc were up there.  Being able to have help moving stuff out and around helped disapate some of the energy that was there.  We tried to make some changes downstairs too but couldn't find the furnature pieces we wanted to change things around.  He moved with her from Oregon and it was their house.  It needs to become her house.  She is getting there.

Was his family from Oregon?  My DD#2 met a young man from Utah (?) who moved to PA to be with her and even though he was crazy about her he just didn't adjust and he got so depressed. 

His mother is still in Oregon. They met when she was there in graduate school.  We had hoped he wouldn't move with her when she moved but he did.  He was never happy in Cleveland but he had issues anyway.  I don't know if he would have adjusted to any place very well.

This young man had some major issues but he thought my DD was an answer to his Prayers (his parents thought she was too).  We knew he was not the one for her but you can't tell them anything.  She called the wedding off one week before it happened.....Thank GOD!!!  Money was lost and we are still trying to sale the wedding dress ( I think she should just give it to some one) but she didn't go through with it!!!

I am really sorry your DD is going through this.  My DD has had a rough life picking the wrong guys but she will have her 1 yr. anniversary in August to Mr. Right.

Good to have you bar.  Sorry to hear about your daughter, I'm *sure* she appreciated having you there.
