Menus and Miles Saturday (YEAH) June 14th
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!
Morning LW's!!! HAPPY FLAG DAY!!!! Is your flag flying high??? I'm going to buy some new small ones for the front of our house.
The birds are having a major conversation outside our bedroom window! They must be enjoying the beautiful morning. I wish I could recognize their sounds. There is such a variety of "bird talk" going on. I thought birds just went tweet tweet tweet and chirp chirp chirp....lol.
I've got to cut back on my Protein Drinks again. IC cramping has really increased the past few days. I'm not sure what we are eating today. Just playing it by ear.
We are going to finish up our landscaping today...yeah! Except for the trees/plants being miniature it is looking pretty darn good! I'm still searching for something to add color because I'm still not sold on the stones instead of colored mulch. I can understand DH's reasoning though...he is SICK of redoing the mulch every year!

No flags here. There are a few UK flags due to the world cup, but that's it for us.
I got my hair cut today, just taken above the shoulders and LOTS of thinning of it with the thinning scissors, it should be quicker to dry, yippee!! I'm contemplating whether to get some GHD straighteners, as the hairdresser said they're the only straighteners worth using. My Remmintons don't seem to straighten much... hmm...

I had to buy a few hanging plants so a took a few minutes and I got my hair cut too. DH was wondering what was taking me so long....lol. Have you tried what we call a Brazilian Blowout? It smooths your hair out and lasts a long time but they are pretty expensive here.
Sounds Good!!!!

No, I haven't had a Brazilian blow dry - I think they're about $300. To think, that when I used to have straight hair I wanted it to be curly and now it is I want straight!! :-S

Flag's up and birds are singing. My mom and granddaddy taught me some of the birds' songs. I can pick out cardinals, wrens, mocking birds, hawks, morning doves, blue jays, bob whites, chick-a-dees, and crows and starlings. We don't have the variety here that we had in North Carolina, so I'm rusty.

Oh my goodness Gina that's what I want to know!!!!! I'm sure I can find it on the web somewhere!
I was thinking of you last night when and I don't know why but I was enjoying my new landscaping and looking out at the Beautiful view surrounding us. Do you live where it's level or can you see the mountains? We don't live in the mountains but we live in a high area and right now all you see is green for miles and miles. The sunset seems so close it is breathtaking.
Boy I haven't had a Stromboli for so long and that sounds really good! I might have to talk DH into getting one so I can have a few bites.
Sounds Good Gina!

We're on level ground but a couple of our highways pointing due west lets us have a nice view of the mountains in the distance leading into the Shenandoah Valley.
I can't wait to come see you! Maybe soon, Son#2 will be moving into a new apartment in August.
