11 days out and feeling pretty damned good!

Well, I did it. I can't believe after all the appointments, research, planning, waiting and worrying, my day has come and gone already! I can say now that all the worrying I did in the final few weeks/days before surgery were completely unnecessary.  My surgery was a breeze and my recovery has been too. I am more thankful than I can put into words for how smoothly everything has gone so far. The only negative thoughts I'm having now are in regards to how easy it has been. Since day 3 or 4 I've been able to get all my water and shakes in no problem. Right now I can easily drink 12oz water or broth and hour. And I can drink a whole 8oz muscle milk light in an hour or less as well with no nausea or fullness at all. I did have 4oz of strained clam chowder the other night and felt like I was going to ralph I was so full. So I know the sleeve is working. I have one more week of full liquids then I move onto pureeds (woofreakinhoo...seriously). So far I've lost 11lbs...but I made hubby hide the scale today...I was becoming obsessed! I'm hoping to hit 20lbs lost by the one month mark, but I'm promising myself that I won't beat myself up if it doesn't happen. As i progress in my diet, im sure ill be back on here full force with questions and to find meal ideas. What would i do with OH?! Anyway, thanks to everyone on here for being so helpful and supportive...you guys are great. And good luck to any soon to be sleevers ♡

I worried it was a little too easy at first after mine too. Just like your pre-op concerns, it's probably unnecessary as well. I'm sure you'll do great! Good luck!

Yay I'm glad you're so happy! I had RNY gastric bypass on May 21 and I too am so happy that it's all done! Post op is definitely much more enjoyable than pre op lol

Great to know you've had a smooth go of it thus far.  My surgery is scheduled July7th so it's helpful to hear about positive experiences. All the best to you!
