Not a complaint, but an observation and just plain old puzzled
Yeah it's true that it's a sensitive subject and honestly in most cases I guess if i'm honest it's better if people don't comment. If folks felt free to comment they could just as easily say "man, you've gotten HUGE have you gained weight?"

I lost so much weight in such a quick time frame that everyone noticed and all were asking questions. At first I was embarrased about me being to the point of having to have surgery to begin with, but I got over that quickly and started telling people about my surgery. Everyone responded positively and was proud of me for wanting to improve my quality of life. It has all been positive for me. I have lost 100 lbs. exactly as of last week.
I've lost 75 now but until I'd lost 65 no on noticed and I was on a three week stall and everyone started talking about it.
