Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!
Hello Weekend!!! I've waited for you ALL week!!! My scales were at the bottom of my range this morning....YEAH!! It's nice to see that number occasionally. I was talking to a friend at the grocery story for about an hour a couple of days ago. She is constantly on a diet. She is my age but can still lose weight really easily but she starts craving those sweets and the weight comes on just as fast. She says I am the only WLS person she knows that has kept my weight off. They mustn't have a GREAT Support group like I do...THANKS LW's!!!Breakfast: Protein Drink
Lunch: Bridal Shower at 1:00

Snack: 2 TBS. Popcorn, plain, made in microwave

I think I found the few extra pounds you lost. It's only like 3 or 4 pounds but enough to make me mad.

haha! I had Cheetos at the Wedding Shower I went to yesterday. A bowl was sitting right in front of me. I did have some and I can see how they would be addictive.....

Congrats for posting and asking for info that is a major step in the right direction!!! If you start a new post other's will chime in!
I had the RNY over 6 years ago and I've kept 85 pounds off for over 5 years. I would definitely do it over again because it has changed my life!!! We have a lot of successful posters on our LW board.
It is very important to surround yourself with successful people. I know this is time consuming but the #1 thing you have to do is get a support group and plan on being apart of it FOREVER! I'm sure your Surgeons office either has one or can refer you to one. This LW board is my only support group and they have helped me every step of the way.
Take time now to ask questions and learn everything you can about your type of surgery. Knowledge mean Success!
