Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!
Over the hump day and I already feel like I am crawling at a slow speed to the top.
I didn't start this morning in a good mood. I didn't get much sleep last night worrying about my Mom. She has really taken a downward slide since I went on my trip. I'm feeling very guilty being away for so long and disrupting her routine. No time to pack a lunch this morning because I was having a "Major" discussion with my brother who thinks she should go to a nursing home. He probably is right but the Drs. have warned us that if we do the confusion will take over and as long as she knows who I am I just don't think I can sign those papers.

We have her in a program called LIFE. We can have people come 3 days a week to help with meals, bathing, housework etc. but she didn't want them in her house and she started locking her doors and wouldn't talk to us. Now we are down to one monthly visit from a nurse who doesn't come in uniform and she is introduced (every single time) as a friend of mine (I've known her for years). After she leaves my Mom calls all of us and says "some fat woman was here and I don't want her here"....LOL.
Sounds Good!

Sometimes it isn't fun being the adult and having to make the decisions.
I had a busy day with meetings, groceries, packing to leave for the show this morning. My DH is coming down from Cleveland and I am thrilled to get to spend some time with her. She and her significant other are breaking up and it has been tough. Glad she can get away.
