Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!

WOW...I was so looking forward to vacation and now it's over.....  The cheer teams did great and we had such a wonderful time with the grandkids.  I always thought I couldn't love anyone like I love our DD's but that is so untrue. There is nothing like grandkids!!   I know when our girls were little there were days I wanted to pull my hair out but even when the grandkids are being stinkers they are super cute.....

First day back to work and my desk is piled sky high but I am loving it!!  I guess I'm not so easily replaced....LOL.   I'm up a well deserved 4 pounds!!  I know some of it is swelling from the heat and but most of it is from not eating right.  It's nice to be back  into a routine!!

We didn't have any groceries in the house so I couldn't pack my lunch. I'm hoping to grab a salad when I pick DGD up from Kindergarten.

Breakfast:
Lunch:        1/2 Walnut and Apple Salad from Wendy's...won't be having this again.  I had slight dumping symptoms.
Snack:        almonds
Snack:
Dinner:

Snack:        2 TBS. Popcorn, plain, made in microwave

Can any one give me a sample menu for someone 2.5 months out of RNY?? I seem to have hit a stall and would like to compare my diet with other successful people and make some changes!  I usually have -

Breakfast 5am - 25g Protein shake on my way to work

work break - 100g greek yogurt 9 g protein, 2 pieces melba toast 2g protein

Lunch - today - Chicken breast (1.5 oz - 10 g protein) boiled in broth and sliced cellery with 2 cherry tomatoes and sliced onion - was a broil - made it into a soup at the last minute!

ride home - sliced cheese - 60 calorie -low fat - 4g protein, 2 pieces melba toast (2 g protein)  protein shake 34grams protein (with skim milk powder added)

Dinner - pork loin chop broiled - 3oz - 21g protein, broccoli

Thank you

Your menu actually sounds pretty without me knowing the stats.  Stalls are perfectly normal.  They are a way for our bodies to adjust to the weight loss. Did you take your measurements when you started?  It is strange but usually during a stall we loose a lot of inches.

The only way I know to break a stall that lasts more than a week is to add another Protein drink (or 2) for about 3 days and then drop back down.  That usually kick starts it for me.

What kind of Protein Drinks  are you using?  Are they low calorie, low carb, and high in Protein?

The protein powder I use is a walmart brand called body fortress - it is 30 grams of protein, 6g of carbs - 1g sugar, 2.5 g of fat - 150 calories.  So it seems to fall in my thresholds.  very low carbs, and good 100% whey protein.  I will keep doing what I am doing and stay positive! Thanks everyone!

Let's see...cauliflower cooked well and drained well...into the food processor. Softened cream cheese, garlic, a little butter, a little 1/2&1/2, salt and pepper.

Congrats on your shopping finds!

I wish I had some leftovers in my fridge. I have to find some time to go to the grocery store.

Sounds good!
