Model Patient!
I am so relieved! I just saw my surgeon for my 6 week follow up. I have had some concerns and even though I've spoken to the NUT several times and she told me I was fine, I wasn't going to be satisfied until I spoke with my surgeon. It all went great. I told him about my portion sizes and caloric intake and that it was so much more than I hear others saying and I was afraid something was wrong, even though I know my pouch is bigger, he was shaking his head and he said he didn't care about the calories, that as long as I was eating protein forward meals and not drinking calories, my portion sizes were perfect. He is a stickler for no protein shakes at this point in the game and that was one of his first questions. In the end after asking me about exercise and water he said I was a "model patient" and he was very pleased with my rate of loss and how active I was and my water intake. So...yeah, I feel like I'm doing this right after all!
Yea! I know that puts your mind at ease!
