Today is my surgiversary!!

Yeah, wow it was difficult to find this group with all the changes at OH. Okay, doing well health and weight wise....do need to work out more. No longer really identify as a fat person. And have very different relationship with food.

Just had a friend/coworker who had WLS a few months before me die. Basically she got into another unhealthy habit and it took her life. Please remember to get help if you need it, When food is taken away from you....you need to learn how to cope and deal with life. And contrary to what you think before surgery, losing weight doesn't fix all your life problems. take care, be safe, be healthy and live your best life!!

Hurry.  Happy surgiversary!!!!

I talked to a nurse last weekend who said she sees lots of fat, malnurished WLS patients who haven't kept up with their program.  I'm sure it happens.  Sorry for your loss.

Thanks you guys! Yep it is a journey for sure. There were/was 4 of us who had wls in my office. One gained it all back, one recently died (due to a cross addiction) and one is still pretty new, one year I think. So I am pretty happy with what I have done. However, obesity is still an issue in my family and I have some concerns about the rest of my family....most who have some issues related to being overweight. Hoping you all are doing well and wish all of you out there on the journey success on this path....
