Menus and Miles Thursday April 3rd
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!
It's Thursday already...thank goodness! The week is going so fast. My manager is on Vacation and it's really busy and stressful at work.
I got my last injection in my bladder last night. I'm not completely cramp free but I'm on a "as needed" schedule now. Most of her patients get the injections for a year and I've only been getting them a few months. I think I'm doing so well because I am used to being very strict with what I eat and I don't do a lot of variety so I only needed to make a few adjustments like buying certain brands and of course giving up my Protein drinks for awhile. I gave her some sample menus and she helped me tweak them. My neighbor is really struggling. She doesn't have a weight problem so she is used to eating anything she wants. I really feel bad for her.
My Menu is not MY typical WLS Menu: I am a strict believer in Protein drinks but at the present time I have to limit them to 1 every other day because I have been diagnosed with IC (Painful Bladder Syndrome). Success means: Protein first then add other foods!!!!

My DH really needs to start his Claritan but we have to wait until we see his new Cardiologist next week. He is taking so much medicine since his heart attack that I'm not sure if he can add this one or not.
Do you make your own Cinnamon Almonds? We all bring in our crockpots and e make them at work around the holidays. Boy does the office smell great but it makes you soooo hungry for them. DH and I kept smelling them at the Competition we were just at and I told him we need to make a batch.
Sounds Good!

Claritin is something I take year around, now I've added the Flonase & sudafed ...
As as far as the almonds, I definitely don't make them myself, but that sounds amazing. I limit myself to one 100 cal pack a day on the days that I have them, they are really good so I don't keep very many in the house :)
Yes, TGINF. I'm so happy you have things under control.
I hope you guys have OK weather... it's been pretty nice for spring on my side of the pond. ;-)

It was beautiful here today but is suppose to rain tomorrow. That's ok because my little garden is getting dry. I have lettuce, spinach, brocalli in already and it's growning. I am so ready for fresh greens. Next week we are back in the 50s but that's ok. I love spring and am not really ready for 80 yet.
