Any other suggestions for HIGH protein, low carb snacks
I go back to work on March 31 - I stretched my time off as long as I could - but I fear I am going back looking the same as I left! I have been on a stall for a few weeks now and although I am down nearly 20lbs, you can't see it !! I can't wait for the real weight to start coming off!! I am working out everyday, keeping up with all my fluid - at least 2000ml (2litres)a day - and at least 60-80grams of protein a day. I am keeping my carbs as low as I can. I am cycling everyday - 13miles is my average a day (stationary bike - various up hill, and resistances) and I have now started to add free weights - (only 5lbs) for my arms- biceps and triceps. It sure is hard to be optimistic doing all this work without seeing any movement on the scales! Just trying to stay away from the scale. I need some HIGH PROTEIN, LOW CARB, LOW FAT snacks for work.
Cheese triangles and fish sticks are handy snacks.

You are just about a month out and down 20lbs. Congrats. You talk about "real weight?" wow, that is real weight. It will slow down some from here on. You are a light weight and you just aren't going to lose like our heavier friends. Think about % of excess weight, not pounds.
Sounds like your exercise is good and your fluid. I would suggest getting your protein more to around 100, then up from there as you can. At a month, I was still on 1/4c a meal and just starting real food. Most of my protein came from shakes.
As I could these were my standbys. The pizza chips are still my snack and quick meal and are good at room temp if I am traveling.
pizza chips - I use a cup of beef or sausage TVP and a cup of warm water, rehydrate for about an hour then drain. Mix with 2 bags of shredded cheese (I like italian and cheddar) and a handful of turkey pepperoni cut into small pieces, a bunch of italitan herbs, garlic and onion powder, mix well. Drop a large spoonful (about 1/4c) on to parchment paper spread out like cookies on a sheet, bake until cheese is melted, bubbley and golden around the edges. You will figure out how done you like them.
cheese sticks
greek yogurt with a scoop of protein
SF pudding with a scoop of protein
2 T of peanut butter, melted, add a scoop of protein and a dash of SF syurp if you need more liquid. Eat warm or stick it in the freezer. Taste like the middle of a protein bar.

You have lots of great food ideas here already, so I will just reiterate that 20 in the first 6 weeks for a lightweight (like you :) is great. YOU may not see it, but your co workers probably will!
PS IMO low fat is not necessary, just makes low carb hard to follow.

Ha, I just wanted to share with you that I am almost a month out and I too have lost "only 24" pounds 10 of which were pre-surgery and I'm feeling down about it too. I too and working out every day . I knew to expect the stall but my weight keeps inching up...I hope maybe it's just part of the early process and we'll feel much better about things in a few more months. Hang in there!
