xpost-8 months out-NSVs

It has been eight months since my surgery. I feel great. I love my new habits. I eat 80+ grams of protein, keep carbs under 40 grams, drink 100+ ounces of water and take my vitamins. I have signed up for my first 5K.
I have been able to buy clothes ranging from size 4-6 pants, tops and dresses. OMG! I am actually the same size as my tiny daughter. I found an awesome black leather dress yesterday at Dillard's. It was even on sale. The best part is my daughter wants to borrow the dress.
I am still 25-30 pounds from my goal. Went to a party yesterday where I am open about my WLS. My daughter and son-in-law hosted the party so 95% of the guests were their age. So many of the guest gave me compliments about my weight. Also, many suggested that I didn't need to lose anymore weight.
Such comments lead me to realize how frightened I am of regain. I must lose this last 25-30 pounds in order to have some room for bounce-back. My loss has been slow but steady. From what I have read, I can expect things to really slow down. Yet I will remain diligent to commitment and compliance to my new habits. I am eager to continue to work this tool.
I posted on a another thread that there is no finish line in my journey. There will never be a time when I can return to my old habits regarding food and health. This new normal is for the rest of my life and that is exciting!
Y'all take care.
