Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!

First Day of Spring...where's the sunshine??????? Gloomy Dreary day out and there is a light snow coming down.  Terrible foot cramps during the night and my leg is still aching!  I've got to increase my fluids and my Calcium!

My Menu is not MY typical WLS Menu: I am a strict believer in Protein drinks but at the present time I have to limit them to 1 every other day because I have been diagnosed with IC (Painful Bladder Syndrome).  Success means:  Protein first then add other foods!!!!

Breakfast:     (ate 2nd half) 1 egg, 1/4 cup Eggbeater Whites, 1/4 diced Ham
Lunch:           Roast Beef and 6 Saltines

Snack:           3 oz. Hamburger Patty with a TBS ketchup
Snack:
banana
Snack:           Maybe a Nature Valley Almond. peanut, sunflower seed crunch bar (gluten free)
Dinner:          1/2 cup Spahgetti with meat sauce
Snack:           Popcorn

Calories     Protein      Net Carbs      Fat    Sugar

It’s so nice to finally have Spring just a couple of hours away. It was very foggy this morning but that has since burned off and is giving way to a sunny, warm day.

I had to get fasting blood work done for my upcoming post-op appointment with my surgeon in a couple of weeks so my morning has been a little off in terms of breakfast. I don’t normally go to McDonald’s or any fast food place but I was really hungry after getting my blood work done. My son, Isaac, treated me to Starbucks’ coffee this morning since he got paid today. He doesn’t drive just yet so I take him to work in the mornings (he doesn’t work far from home).

MENU:

B – Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino w/ 2 scoops Click protein coffee (15 g protein)

       1/2 Sausage McMuffin w/ Egg

L – 2 oz. Tuna fish and 2 Wheat Thins Flatbread crackers

S – Syntrax Iced Tea protein (23 g protein)

1/4-cup Fisher's Energy Trail Mix (w/ cashews, almonds and dried cranberries)

D – 2 oz. roasted Pork Tenderloin and green beans

S – Syntrax Iced Tea protein (23 g protein)

VITES: done

WATER: working on it

MILES: none but maybe some yoga this afternoon

That was nice of him to treat you to breakfast.  We rarely do fast food any more but on the way to a cheer comp we stopped at a Sheetz and DH got a ham, egg, cheese on a croissant and I took a few bites and boy was that good.  I've actually been craving one...LOL.

Sounds Great!

Ouch!  sorry to hear about the foot cramps.  Those hurt!

Well - I said I would make a good choice for dinner last night, and didn't - but it was OH-SO-GOOD!  Had birthday dinners for my sister and Mom.  DD and her DH and the girls came, as well as my sisters' youngest boy and her grandson.  Mom and Dad of course... it was good to see everyone.

Lightly snowing here too and it's 35 degrees.  It won't stick, but still - C'mon SPRING!  I'm heading back to VA on Sunday - it will be warmer there - may be able to fire up the motorcycle!

B - protein coffee and a regular coffee

L - rest of my Pot Pie from last nights' dinner (not the crust - just filling)

D - baked pork chop

Vits:  not yet

water:  doing ok

I love when my family gets together.  How is your sister doing on her carbs?

Do you keep your bike in VA?

I'm not sure I could the filling out of a pot pie and not it the crust...good for you!  I might try but then I would have to run the crust to the trash super fast....LOL.

Sounds Good!

It 36 here and the wind is suppose to start picking up soon. We redid one of our garage walls and had to rip all my flower trees out so I am getting anxious to start planting so I wish the warm weather would hurry up.

I like the variety and totals!

52 and sunny here, but that's the low for this week...60+ forecast for the rest of the week.  Not our normal for this time of year, so I'll enjoy it while it's here.

Planning out the days menu first thing in the morning is making it a lot easier to stay on plan...had head hunger yesterday, but just told it to shut up and drank more water :)
