I'm not going to lie to you - I did have serious complications.  I had to have two emergency surgeries just days apart and almost didn't survive the 3rd surgery.  Do I have regrets?  No because the whole journey has taught me so much about myself and those I love.  I've walked away from my complications with a greater appreciation for my life.

As with anything in life, we have to deal with some level of risk. :)  Now I just deal with a gluten sensitivity and an issue with my intestines "rolling" on itself from time to time.  The latter is possibly going to require another surgery but I won't find that out until my consult on April 10th.

No regrets - except that I didn't have it sooner.

As far as the negativitity - I had it too... and I didn't tell a soul until after... even my mother.

And my mantra was "you can argue with success" - that makes us even more determined to show the nay-sayers we are doing it for US and the right decision!

Welcome.

I have only regreted not doing it sooner.  Best thing I have ever done for me.  I didn't have any issues but followed my program to the letter and had very extensive "education" from my Dr group before and after surgery.
