Menus and Miles Mon. March 17th
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!! DGD was so excited when I picked her up after Kindergarten because the Leprechaun had left footprints and sprinkled gold dust in their classroom when they had a bathroom break. He even ate jelly beans out of the teachers jar....LOL
My Menu is not your typical WLS Menu: I am a strict believer in Protein drinks but at the present time I have to limit them because I have been diagnosed with IC (Painful Bladder Syndrome). Success means: Protein first then add other foods!!!!
Breakfast: Running late today
Lunch: Pork Chop
Snack: Tuna Salad on 6 Saltines
Snack: Nature Valley Almond, Peanuts, sunflower seeds bar
Dinner: Steak and 1/2 cup Potato Soup
Snack: Shake with: 1/2 cup LF Cottage Cheese, 1 tsp. SF Cheesecake dry pudding mix, frozen blueberries (maybe a scoop of Lemon Tea)
Calories Protein Net Carbs Fat Sugar

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Today has been a "regroup" day as the homemade pizza from last night did a number on my stomach. I had on and off abdominal cramping all last night and was nauseous. I just feel a bit drained today. I didn't do so good with my protein or carbs either. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow.
MENU:
B – Click! Coffee Protein made with 12 ounces of Lactaid skim milk (23 g protein, 24 g carb)
L – 2 oz. country-style pork ribs and 1/4-cup mashed sweet potato
S – Syntrax Iced Tea protein (23 g protein)
D – Wonton Egg Drop Soup
VITES: done
WATER: 32 oz.
MILES: none
Hope you are feeling better! Sometimes I can eat pizza and sometimes not. I think it depends how much grease I use when spreading the crust.
Your menus not too bad for not feeling well.

Oh my that would be a NIGHTMARE!!!!!! Did you eat something bad before you went to bed?
Do you ever hold up clothes and think there is no way they will fit? I think of this practically every morning when I pull underwear out of the drawer. They looks so darn small....LOL. I wonder if the fear ever goes away. I also wonder if this will ever feel natural. I look at friends of mine who have gained weight back and I feel so bad for them. I have 2 friends who are really tall and they have gained but carry it really well and look fantastic but it's my friends who are shorter it's really noticeable on them. I'd be in that category where only a few pounds can make such a big difference.
Sounds Good Jody1

Good for you!!! I'm not sure it ever stops working as long as we do High Protein low Carbs. "BAD Carbs are the killer! That's how most of us gained our weight to begin with.
Sounds like a Great Protein day!

Like the green font!!
Anyways, top of the mornin' to ya!! Or happy St Patrick's day. We don't really make a big thing of it in England... I suspect it's a bigger thing your side of the pond, although we did have celebratory Danish (Danish for the Irish, I know it makes no sense).
Turns out the Danish didn't cause me any bloating. I don't think I'll OD on them though as in my last company always had them as dessert for their catered lunches and we always had left over Danish... as always if you have an abundance of something, you don't prize it quite so much.

Plus 20g from a rice and chicken salad I forgot about mid-morning for a protein total of 125g. The rice was horribly undercooked, so I ate as little of that as possible (it was a store bought salad).
