Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period!!

Morning LW's!!!  2 days of carbs so today is going to be a high Protein Kind of Day!  The sun is so bright this morning but it is only 21 outside.  Aiming for 30 this afternoon.

My Menu is not your typical WLS Menu: I am a strict believer in Protein drinks but at the present time I have to limit them because I have been diagnosed with IC (Painful Bladder Syndrome).  Success means:  Protein first then add other foods!!!!

Protein:
Breakfast:    1 Egg, 1/4 cup Eggbeater Whites and 1/4 cup ham bites (good start to the day)
Lunch:          Grilled Shrimp Skewer

Protein:
Snack:

Happy Sunday everyone!  We are all outside today getting the yard and garden ready for spring.  Feels so good to get my hands dirty and feel the sun on my face!  However, i seem to be a bottomless pit food wise.  I'm not hungry - at least physically, but head hunger, look out.  Trying to reign it in, and I start with good intentions, guess I need to stay out of the kitchen!  If I am busy then I don't think about it, but find me in the kitchen and I start to forage

B:  Coffee then protein yogurt = 38g

S:  1 slice of turkey deli meat and 1 slice of cheddar w/ 6 brazil nuts (threw the rest out as these are proving too hard to resist) = 12g

L:  Small piece of DS's rib eye steak and 3 tbsp of sweet corn! = 15g

S: Ice tea shake = 23g

D:  Lentil curry soup with greek yogurt = 8g

S:  Maybe hot chocolate protein = 23g

Working on water and bits as the day goes on.  Gardening and laundry for miles

It doesn't look like you did too bad.  I wasn't hungry yesterday but then in the middle of the night I felt like I was starving. Fortunately I was too tired to get up and eat anything. Days that I don't eat much is almost a guarantee that the scales are going to move up a little...120.4 this morning...ugh.

A sinus bug is making its rounds in my house. Hubby woke up with it this morning and is miserable. I’m about to go around the house sanitizing everything again. As much as I’d like to open the windows, the pollen count is out of control here. Both cars are covered in yellow powder right now.

My weight is back up this week. My personal trainer said it might go back up (temporarily) with the increase in my protein and the additional strength training I’m doing. It should level off just fine. He also told me to focus on how my clothes fit as opposed to the scale so I don’t get discouraged.  So far the clothes fit just fine.

MENU:

B – ½ Syntrax Iced Tea protein (12.5 g protein)

       Ramen noodles, ½ pack

B – ½ Syntrax Iced Tea protein (12.5 g protein)

Ham and cheese Omelette (16.3 g protein, 4.5 g carbs)

S – Syntrax Iced Tea protein (23 g protein)

L – 2 cups Chef salad w/ 1 tbsp Lite Ranch dressing

S – Syntrax Iced Tea protein (23 g protein)

D – Home-made veggie pizza

VITES: morning-done

WATER: 64 oz. and counting

MILES: 3.65 miles

As much as I hate seeing the number move even a little bit I do agree with your trainer and his clothes comment.

I love ramen noodles (are you talking about the seasoned soup packages) but I swell up like a balloon when I eat them. It's an easy meal when the grandkids come unexpectedly.

Sounds good!

I'm trying to keep my focus on what my trainer said but it's easier said than done for me.

Yep, every so often I have to have the ramen you speak of.  I grew up on the stuff and it is a quick meal.  I have to take my ginger root capsules either before or right after I eat them so I don't bloat though.

ginger root keeps you from bloating?  I've never heard that.

The ginger root capsules help me - A LOT.  It's suppose to aid in digestion, but for me, it stops any bloating if I start to feel it and I'm finding that it helps prevent any bloating from happening if I take it first.  For me, sometimes it's not just gluten affecting me so I take the capsules with every meal.  I've been doing this for about 2 months now.  Although I neglected to take it until it was too late last night and it didn't help me at that point.

Ginger root is also supposed to work as an anti-inflammatory.  I originally found this out while at the health food store here and then did some reading online before I tried it myself. :)
